I see spotify compatible. If I use google music will the fit allow me any functionality with Google music. Also if I'm playing music stored on my phone that I uploaded from my computer will it allow me to control from the fit or it has to stored on Fit?
Pretty sure you can control any music on your phone, the music is not stored on the phone from what ive seen..

Can I buy this phone for $1 with a two year contract?
Presently I'm not in contract with Sprint. I am due for an upgrade. Can buy this phone for $1 without ANY changes in my current plan- Sprint Family Share plan- 20 GB/month? The ONLY changes would be to get a two year contract with Sprint. Is this correct?

I believe it does.. But depending on your carrier they may change you for data use..

Wimax?
Sprint is requiring that I get a new phone because they are doing away with their old "Wimax" system which is what my old, HTC Evo uses. Does the Galaxy Note 4 use wimax?
No it does not.. It uses 4g lte and some jelly bean system..
