Premium Mobile Controller That Just Works
on May 21, 2026
Posted by: bc3tech
I have been using this with my Samsung Galaxy S25 FE primarily for playing Brawl Stars, and overall, it has been an excellent experience. The setup process was very straightforward and intuitive. Pairing and configuring the controller did not take long, and I was able to start gaming almost immediately without dealing with connection problems or confusing menus.
The overall build quality feels very solid. Nothing about the controller feels cheap or flimsy, and the materials feel durable enough for long-term use. One feature that immediately stood out to me was the swiveling USB-C connector. This makes it much easier to insert your phone into the controller without feeling like you are forcing the connection or risking damage to the USB-C port. It also reduces the chance of bending or snapping the connector, which is a thoughtful design choice that gives extra peace of mind.
In terms of comfort, the ergonomics are excellent. The controller feels comfortable to hold during longer gaming sessions, and the button layout is easy to get used to. The thumbsticks feel responsive and accurate, and I also appreciated that the box includes multiple thumbstick sizes so you can experiment and find the option that feels best for you. That level of customization is a nice addition and not something every mobile controller includes.
Gameplay performance was also very good. I did not notice any input lag, disconnections, or compatibility problems while playing. The only adjustment was getting used to using a controller instead of touch controls for Brawl Stars, but after spending some time with it, the controls felt natural and consistent.
I also used the companion app to customize some controls, and the app worked very well. The customization options were easy to access, and changes applied quickly without issues. In addition, the controller includes a USB-C charging port on the bottom along with a headphone jack, which makes it convenient to charge the phone or use wired earbuds while gaming.
Overall, it feels very well-designed and practical for mobile gaming. Between the sturdy construction, comfortable design, customizable controls, thoughtful USB-C swivel mechanism, and additional ports, it offers a premium experience that stands out from both touch controls and other mobile controllers I have tried.

Solid Build, Mixed Layout and Key Performance
on April 24, 2026
Posted by: bc3tech
This keyboard feels great right out of the box. It’s solid, heavier than I expected, and the magnetic wrist rest is comfortable enough to use all day. The compact 96‑key layout keeps everything tight, which is normal for this style, but it does take some getting used to. I use Home and End constantly when coding, so having them on a Fn layer slows me down more than I’d like. The Delete key is also tucked right at the end of the function row with no spacing, so I hit the wrong key pretty often. Same thing with the right arrow sitting directly under the “1” on the numpad — I’ve hit “1” by accident more times than I can count.
Typing on it feels great overall. The switches sound good, the travel feels smooth, and it’s comfortable to type on for long stretches. The only downside is that a few keys don’t always behave the way they should. Sometimes a key registers as if I held it down longer than I did, and the spacebar occasionally doesn’t register at all. Not sure if that’s hardware or software, but it’s noticeable.
Bluetooth performance has been solid. I don’t see any real difference from wired use, and battery life and wake‑up behavior have been fine. The web‑based configuration tool works better than I expected. Setting up macros, remapping keys, and customizing the LCD screen is simple, and it’s nice not having to install another background app. The LCD is mostly just for fun. It’s cool to put custom images on it, but it doesn’t add much beyond basic status info.
Overall, it’s a well‑built keyboard with good wireless options and great switch feel, but the layout quirks and occasional key‑registration issues hold it back. If you want a compact mechanical keyboard with multiple wireless modes and quieter switches, it’s a strong option. Just be aware that the price is high and the layout may take some adjustment depending on how you work.

Solid Portable Cleaner With Minor Design Issues
on January 1, 2026
Posted by: bc3tech
Worked well for pet messes, furniture, and carpet stains. It's compact size and maneuverability made it easy to deploy quickly, and the ability to swap between a standard brush and rubber nodules was helpful when dealing with more stubborn debris or ground‑in stains. Across all scenarios, the suction strength was consistently high, and after cleaning, surfaces were left only mildly damp with no concentrated wet patches.
The noise level during operation was acceptable and aligned with what would be expected from a device offering this level of suction performance. Battery life was stable and sufficient for multiple cleaning sessions without interruption. The machine maintained full suction capability throughout use, with no noticeable drop‑off as the charge decreased.
One limitation is the design of the dirty‑water reservoir. Because it is integrated with the motor housing and cannot be detached, rinsing, fully emptying, and drying the tank required more time and effort. Ensuring all internal surfaces remain dry to prevent mold growth is more tedious than it would be with a removable container. The charging and storage solution also presents a workflow inefficiency: after placing the unit into its cradle, it still must be plugged in separately to begin charging. A cradle‑based charging mechanism would make the system more intuitive. However, the storage case is portable and lightweight enough to move around the home as needed, which adds some flexibility.
Build quality appears solid, with materials that feel durable and resistant to flexing. Weight and ergonomics were appropriate for handheld usage, and the brush mechanism that allows switching between cleaning modes functioned smoothly. Controls, seals, and latches were generally well designed and intuitive. One minor oversight occurred when the reservoir latch was left open during storage to air out the tank and was not immediately noticeable when beginning the next cleaning session. A clearer indicator or automatic‑closing mechanism could enhance usability.
Overall, the Shark StainForce Cordless Portable Spot & Stain Cleaner provides strong performance in stain removal and general portability, with a few design areas that could be improved for better long‑term convenience.

Good performance, no screen a definite hindrance
on January 1, 2026
Posted by: bc3tech
This cam has a distinctly utilitarian design, and the absence of any built‑in display screen stood out immediately. Honestly, I would rather have one that does have a screen that I can use to configure, review footage, etc. for the price. The front camera resembles a compact radar detector more than a traditional dash cam, which may appeal to some users but may be unexpected for others. Despite the unusual form factor, the materials and build quality appear solid and appropriate for a higher-end camera system.
Installation was more complex in my case due to having an insurance device occupying the OBDII port, which meant the included OBD power cable could not be used. I opted for the hardwiring kit in order to make use of the parking mode features, as the 12V adapter option would not provide constant power in a vehicle where the outlet turns off when the ignition is off. Once I had the appropriate cable, installation proceeded smoothly. I have installed front and rear dash cams before, so routing the cables and managing the excess length was straightforward. One limitation worth noting is that the front camera lens cannot be adjusted horizontally. The vertical angle is fine, but the left–right angle is fixed, so the initial placement must be precise to avoid off‑center recordings.
Video quality from both cameras met expectations across all conditions I tested, including daytime, nighttime, rain, and fog. The 4K front camera captures detailed footage without excessive glare or noise, and the 2K rear camera performs adequately for documenting activity behind the vehicle. I did not observe any issues with exposure handling or motion clarity in normal driving scenarios.
The software experience has room for improvement. THINKWARE currently offers two apps in the app store, and determining which one to use caused initial confusion. Once the correct app was installed, pairing was straightforward and stable, and I was able to complete a required firmware update without difficulty. The app itself offers enough functionality to review files and adjust core settings, but the overall usefulness is limited beyond basic tasks. An additional inconvenience is that the camera does not function when plugged into USB power alone; it requires vehicle power to operate. This complicates initial configuration, as it is difficult to test and adjust the camera without temporarily powering up the vehicle and managing loose wires during setup.
Parking mode sensitivity worked as expected, reliably capturing triggers from even minor bumps or movement. File access for these events was straightforward. Voice alerts are clear and understandable despite the small onboard speaker, and GPS performance was consistent with other units I have used. I did not encounter false triggers or issues with positioning data.
In daily use, the camera has been reliable. The 32GB memory card I installed works without errors, formats quickly, and overwrites files as expected during loop recording. The camera boots quickly with the vehicle, and I have not seen any freezes, crashes, or missed recordings. In my plug‑in hybrid, I have not noticed any negative impact on the vehicle battery while using parking mode.
Overall, the THINKWARE U3000 PRO performs well in terms of core recording quality and reliability. The installation constraints, app confusion, and lack of USB-powered functionality introduce some friction, but once installed, the system behaves consistently and captures clear footage in a variety of conditions.

Solid Power Bank, Conflicting specs/metrics
on December 23, 2025
Posted by: bc3tech
I have been using the UGREEN Nexode 200W 25,000mAh power bank almost daily to charge both phones and laptops. For smaller devices like phones and earbuds, the unit performs as expected. The reported wattage appears accurate, port negotiation is quick, and the power bank does not generate concerning heat even when multiple devices are connected. This is an improvement over some smaller high‑wattage chargers I have used in the past, which tend to run noticeably hotter.
The build quality is solid, and the form factor is one of the better aspects of the device. Despite its weight, it is compact and dense, taking up less space in my backpack than other high‑capacity batteries I own. I do not mind the weight because the size reduction makes it easier to pack. The display is useful and provides clear information about input and output wattage. I also appreciate that the unit includes a USB‑A port in addition to USB‑C ports, which increases compatibility with older accessories.
Where the power bank falls short is in its maximum output performance. Although the port is labeled for 140W output, my laptop only receives about 60W according to the TFT display, and the laptop itself reports that it is connected to a slow charger. My laptop normally uses a 120W OEM charger, so I expected this power bank to match or exceed that level. I have not been able to unlock the full advertised output, which limits its usefulness for high‑demand laptop charging. The same pattern appears when recharging the power bank. Even when connected to a 140W wall charger, the display does not show that it is pulling the full wattage, though it still charges quickly enough for overnight or multi‑hour top‑offs. There is no noticeable heat or noise during charging, and the display provides clear feedback on charging speed.
Overall, the power bank performs well for phones and smaller devices, offers strong build quality, and has a compact design that is easy to carry. The display is a valuable feature, and the unit remains cool during operation. However, the inability to reach the full 140W input or output limits its effectiveness for users who expect true high‑wattage laptop charging. Despite this limitation, it remains a capable and well‑built power bank, but its real‑world performance does not fully match its advertised specifications.

Reliable 3‑in‑1 Charging Stand
on December 20, 2025
Posted by: bc3tech
this Charging Stand has proven to be a reliable addition to my nightly routine. I use it primarily to charge an iPhone 17 and Apple Watch 4 every night, with occasional use for a set of AirPod Pros. Device alignment is consistent and effortless; the iPhone catches and begins charging immediately without the need for adjustment. Charging speed is in line with the original chargers, and all devices are fully charged by morning without issue. Even when charging multiple devices simultaneously, the stand maintains stable performance without overheating or slowing down.
Build quality is solid, with a heavy base that keeps the unit steady and prevents wobbling. The design is clean and elegant, and the finish has held up well to nightly use without signs of wear. Cable management is well thought out, with the cord routed through the back and additional wire organization underneath, which keeps the setup tidy and free of clutter. The footprint fits neatly on my white nightstand, complementing the space and maintaining an organized look. Overall, the stand combines sturdiness, effective design, and reliable charging performance, making it a practical solution for managing multiple Apple devices in one place.

Great protection, magic installation
on November 18, 2025
Posted by: bc3tech
Seamless installation experience, consistent with ZAGG’s reputation for user-friendly application. The process required no manual alignment and was completed quickly using the included tools. While some bubbles appeared immediately after installation, they resolved on their own over time. It would be beneficial if ZAGG addressed this in their documentation to reduce post-installation concern.
Once installed, the screen protector fits the iPhone 17 Pro precisely. With a case applied, the protector is virtually unnoticeable. Without a case, a slight edge is detectable, which is expected given the material thickness. The cutouts and alignment are accurate, and the protector does not interfere with case fitment. It works well with the Mophie case I am currently using.
In terms of display performance, the screen protector does not degrade clarity, brightness, or color accuracy. Despite its blue light filtering feature, colors appear true to life and indistinguishable from the unprotected screen. Touch sensitivity remains unaffected, with no noticeable lag or resistance during swiping, typing, or gesture-based navigation.
The surface resists fingerprints and smudges better than previous protectors used. Regular cleaning has not been necessary, and the screen remains clear during typical daily use. I can't speak to durability (yet?) since I'm a pretty light user and haven't dropped it, so no conclusions can be drawn regarding impact resistance or long-term wear.
The blue light filtering feature has not produced any noticeable changes in eye strain or sleep patterns. Its presence is not visually apparent, and usage during nighttime or extended screen time feels unchanged.
Overall, it meets expectations for a premium screen protector. It installs easily, maintains screen performance, and integrates well with cases. The only area for improvement is clearer communication regarding post-installation bubbles, which may cause initial concern but resolve naturally. Once settled, the product performs as intended and offers a clean, unobtrusive layer of protection.

Premium price with premium performance
on November 18, 2025
Posted by: bc3tech
Excellent packaging & installation instructions/toolset, consistent with the brand’s standards. The included tools made the process intuitive. The installation itself took only seconds and resulted in a flawless application with no bubbles or dust. Once installed, the lens covers aligned perfectly with the camera module and did not interfere with the phone case—unlike a previous third-party lens protector I had already installed on the phone and removed in favor of the Zagg.
The covers appear OEM in both fit and finish. In terms of performance, there has been no noticeable impact on photo or video quality, regardless of lighting conditions or flash usage. The covers are rigid and feel durable, though I have not dropped the phone to test impact resistance. After a couple of weeks of use, there has been no visible wear or loosening. If you are very conscious of your photo quality and need lens protection, the ease of installation, premium appearance, and apparent durability justify the cost of the Zagg brand.

Solid FPS Controller, Limited for Racing Games
on October 29, 2025
Posted by: bc3tech
I use this on an Xbox Series X w/ its wireless connection. Physically, it feels nearly identical to the OEM Xbox controller, with the exception of the additional underside buttons. These rear paddles are easy to reach, but in practice, I frequently triggered them unintentionally, which disrupted gameplay by sending the 'B' button equivalent.
One major functional difference is that the RT and LT triggers are digital only aka there is no variable/analog range. This had a noticeable impact on racing games like Forza, where variable throttle and brake input are essential. In contrast, this limitation may be advantageous in first-person shooters, where rapid, full-press inputs are preferred.
Battery life was solid, with no issues in longevity or charge time. Wireless performance was mostly stable, but I did experience occasional dropouts at a short distance (~10 feet) when the controller lacked direct line-of-sight to the dongle. I did not use the SCUF customization software, nor did I remap the paddles, as my games (Forza and Madden '25) didn’t require it.
Overall, this controller seems better suited for FPS players who can take advantage of the extra buttons and rapid trigger response. For racing or sports titles, the lack of analog triggers and sensitivity to accidental paddle presses may be a drawback.

Compact, quality mic for daily calls
on October 24, 2025
Posted by: bc3tech
I used this mic in a home office setting, primarily for voice calls across multiple Windows 11 PCs. The microphone delivered consistent and reliable audio quality that matched expectations for its price point. My voice came through clearly, and I received no complaints about distortion, dropouts, or background noise. Sensitivity was well-balanced, and the cardioid pickup pattern helped isolate speech without pulling in ambient sounds. The unit connected instantly via USB-C, even through a hub, with no driver issues or recognition delays. Physically, the microphone has a compact footprint and sits unobtrusively on the desk. I did not use a stand or boom arm, and it remained stable during use. Cable management was straightforward and didn’t interfere with my workspace. Build quality feels solid, with no signs of cheap materials or loose components. While I haven’t tested it for streaming or voiceover work, it performs well for daily communication. Overall, I consider it a great plug-and-play microphone that offers good value and minimal setup friction.

This Epson 3LCD projector lets you view images up to 25 times larger than those on a 60-inch TV.

Can you plug your android cell phone into it and play movies from your cell phone to the projector?

If you're going in to any of the provided video ports (HDMI, VGA, etc) then yes. Not just via USB though; that's out/charging only.

Does it hurt to have the RF-WHTIB wireless rear speaker system plugged into its own power supply and "on" all the time?

Certainly not, mine was plugged in to a separate outlet and always on for a number of years and I never had issues with it.

Powered sub output?

Is there an output for my powered sub?
If your powered sub accepts speaker-wire inputs, then yes this could work for that. But it does only have two channels. so you're not going to get your L and R rears, PLUS the sub output if that's what you're wondering.

all the inputs and outputs of the system are speaker wire only, though - no RCA (which some powered subs only take)

Can this be used with a side speaker and a rear speaker instead to two rear speakers?

Sorry for such a dumb question, but I had to ask since the back of the unit shows L/R for Left and Right. I do not have a problem with wiring left side of the room, but right side involves crossing two doors. Can I install the unit such that it services one right side speaker and one right rear speaker?
I see no reason why not. It simply transmits the signal for two channels; whatever those may be. as long as it can hit the "receiving" part of the unit, just plug the L and R lines accordingly and you should be able to get just what you're looking for.

Does the Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit work with an RCA RT2906 home theater system?

I'm not sure on this particular home theatre system, but I can explain why they call it universal and perhaps that'll help you.

Basically if you have speaker wire coming out of your receiver, then you just plug that speaker wire in to the "sender" of the unit, and then put the "receiver" of the unit wherever your rear speakers are going to sit and plugs those in w/ their speaker wire.

The one downside is that the receiving unit has to be plugged in via A/C (wall plug) and is not battery powered; somewhat of a pain and faux pas on their part in the design. I'd have liked to see it powered by C/D batteries so that it could be completely disconnected.

on Blu-Ray titles video specs

why do some have 1080P while others have AVC @ 26 MBPS
AVC would seem to suggest that they were not originally filmed at HD resolutions. AVCHD is a format you can use to encode videos not HD quality on to a blu-ray disc to play on HD players. I have not seen such a movie - can you specify the title of what you're seeing AVC & 26MBPS on?

Where to find 3D movies and how do you tell they are 3D?

I have a 60" dlp set with the 3D glasses from Nvidia, it's fun for games but I would like to try watching a movie in 3D, but I am not sure where I could by the special DVDs/blurays for it, since they have to have a special format for the player to display them in 3D
If these are the "old" red/blue glasses, then no. If these are powered, Active Scan glasses, then there's a good chance you'll be able to use them w/ the new equipment. I do not yet know of any movies out in 3D, but the players do exist as I'm sure you already know. Early indications say that you will have to have glasses that match your 3d SET in order for it to work (panasonic glasses -> panasonic TV, etc). Your DLP set is likely not the new 3d standard that has been developed, so I don't think you can expect to see 3d content from the players/movies that are coming out on it.
