This is an excellent speaker set. The sound bar sounds amazing and with the sub woofer, the sound is in credible. You can sync it up Bluetooth or plug direct into the TV. Great features include the sub woofer syncs up to the sound bar wireless, several sound options to choose from, amazing sound as volume increases, ability to isolate the sub woofer and the sound bar and several others!! I highly recommend.

This is an excellent tv especially considering the price. The color is crisp and clean. The pixels man everything unbelievably clear. I know the basics when it comes to tv's but I highly recommend this one.

So, we have a Ultra hi def 40 inch samsung tv in a room with high ceiling.....room is 30 by 12 feet......would this soundbar help the situation....we want to put it above the TV on a shelf?
I would say yes but you would need to have an electrical outlet near buy or extension cord. Both the sub woofer and the sound bar need to be plugged in at the same time. As for the sound, I can hear my TV outside my house and all over my house if I turn it up, so your room shouldn't be a problem. I have mine plugged to my Vizio 55"4k high resolution tv.
