Unfortunately Ryan Adams's albums have always been better when there is conflict in his personal life. That is the case with this album. "Prisoner" obviously is steeped in something bad, most likely his divorce, and he is going through something tumultuous. His pain is out there for all to hear and despite the bleak nature of this release, the songs really are breaking through. A hard listen, it may or may not strike your fancy, but I find it to be one of the more interesting RA albums of the past ten years and personally I think he is on a roll... In recent years he seemed to be drifting and not really connecting on many of his latest efforts; this one, starting with 1989 and many of his recent 7 inch singles, breaks the trend for me. Quite enjoyable, very personal, very dark and not a happy album... I truly love this album. I wish I could give it another star but that space is reserved for Gold, Heartbreaker, LIH, and his stuff with the Cardinals. On many levels it is most comparable to LIH but without John Porter on the dials. Awesome album. This one is definitely up there.

An uneven release. Starts out good with some of their promising sludge, metal and Tony's killer riffs. But it was not to be. They were barely clinging to life on this release as a band and it definitely shows. An uneven LP, with mostly filler type of album but for me it grows on you. So if you like Sabbath I would still recommend at least checking it out to see if it trips your trigger. Still better than most metal of the times and priced to sell with a nice remaster from Rhino records.

Things start to go downhill after Sabotage in the Sabbath catalogue but this album still has its high points. A lot more synth, a lot more drugs, they seem to be barely hanging onto the songs at this point. The remaster does the album justice, best I've heard this sound since the original LP. Rhino always gets the job done and at a great price. Wonder if there were any extra songs from these sessions laying around, would have been cool to add them on to this release. Overall, not their most consistent album but if you are a hardcore Sabbath fan, get it.

The saga continues on this one, haven't seen for years but it was quite enjoyable watching this one again. Great artwork on the steel book packaging, this and GB both look amazing on the film transfer to blu ray. Good times!

One of the all-time great cheesy comedies from the 80's, the high-water era for good time films. Bill Murray shines as always, Dan Akroyd and supporting cast continue to amaze. Just a ball of slimy fun, classic as they come.
Ash vs Evil Dead, a 10-episode, half-hour series, is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic horror film franchise The Evil Dead. The series follows Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons -personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to the unlikely hero from it's InchEvilInch grip. The cast is led by Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, Lucy Lawless as Ruby a mysterious figure who believes Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks, Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar, an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ash's loyal sidekick, Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell, a moody wild child trying to outrun her past and Jill Marie Jones as Amanda Fisher, a disgraced Michigan State Trooper set to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility in the grisly murder of her partner. The series is executive produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell, the original filmmakers of the franchise, and Craig DiGregorio (InchChuckInch), who serves as executive producer and showrunner.

Ash is back and in a great new series that captures the satire and gore of the original films. - a fun fun ride, loads of jump scares, loving this show more and more! This is my kind of horror.... Nice to see Bruce Campbell back at what he does best, action with a dice of humor.
