I used the hand strap portion of this to mount the camera on the back of my hand while snorkeling and it worked perfectly. fun camera and the waterproof case works perfectly, the field of view is fabulous as well as the picture quality. Only drawback is the camera controls are so tiny because it doesn't have the LED screen on the back like some of the other versions - makes it a little harder to use unless you basically have the controls memorized. Haven't tried to use the go pro app to control it yet - that might help.
