I got these because they were on sale for $150. I read many reviews about them and I had to try for myself and experience the hype of Beats headphones.
Pro 1) Sound Quality. I'm no expert, but as an average user, it is great. Clean, bass is not overpowering. Pro 2) Comfort. The cushions are not as soft as the Bose, but very comfortable. It fits like a glove on my head. I can feel the weight of the headset, but is not unconfortable. Pro 3) Battery life is great. I used it for 10hrs and still had juice left. Some users have reported 15hrs of continuous use, the actual spec says 20hrs. Pro 4) This is more personal. I can't use Bose QC headphones. I get dizzy and nauseous with noise cancelling headphones, but not with this one.
Con 1) Noise cancelling cannot be turned off. (Constant battery use if the wire is plugged). Some reviewers have complained about the background noise. When there is no sound playing or low volume, you can hear a noise in the background. I would compare it to having a seashell up again your ear. It doesn't bother me as I can hear it only when there is no music or video playing. Con 2) The way to turn this headphone On and Off is by connecting/disconnecting the wire. If you forget to unplug the wire after use, it will drain the battery.
I would not pay full retail price for it. But on the other hand this is the only Noise Cancelling headphone that doesn't make me dizzy.
