Buyer beware! Do not buy this piece of junk washing machine! We had troubles from the very first load... It started with the washer making a bunch of knocking and loud sounds. We called LG, they came out and told us it was our pipes. So we called our plumber, spent $450 reworking our pipes and the knocking and noises continued. Called LG back and it turned out that it was the junky washer. It was defective. They wanted to replace the motor, the water valves and one other item (I can't remember, had to do with the load balance) and remember this is a brand new washer... only a few weeks old. I was never able to talk with anyone high up with LG to tell them about our frustrations, only spoke with people that I had a hard time understanding due to strong accents. They also had a hard time understanding me and our situation. BTW... Every time I did the laundry I had to leave the house since the noise was so bad. To happily end this story, we called Best Buy and since we were still under our return window, we sent this sucker back ASAP! Thank you Best Buy, you guys are awesome! We bought a Samsung and it's amazing! I should also mention that the LG felt cheap, the door wasn't solid feeling and felt like it was going to break soon. Go with the Samsung, it's a bit more expensive but totally worth it!

I love this washer. We returned the LG washer that was rated higher through Consumers Report (do not buy LG, awful experience, spent $450 reworking our pipes because they were "knocking" and it turned out it was the washing machine... It was defective. LG originally came out and told us it was the pipes and after we did all the work, it turned out it was the piece of junk washer. Ugh! ). Well, we upgraded to the Samsung and I couldn't be happier! It's worth the cost!! No more knocking. The machine is very quiet, efficient, has a lot of options, easy to use and easy to read the control panel (LG's panel is very hard to read, not enough contrast between the words and the background). Also, the washer feels solid, the door feels solid, the soap tray isn't wobbly and the sides are not flimsy. LG's washer felt the opposite, especially the door... it seemed cheep and felt like it would eventually need some work.
Two thumbs up for the Samsung washer! Only drawback was the price but at least I don't have to listen to all the racket that the LG was making anymore! Ugh again for LG!
