Does this privacy screen fit under my otterbox defender case for iphone 6?
I have the commuter case and it works perfectly. I used to use the defender and I had very little issues with screen protectors with that case.

Is the Go Pro Hero HD a good camera for just occasionally using it - summer at the beach or winter skiing?
How does the Go Pro Hero HD compare to the Hero 3 or 4 etc..?
If you are using it for occasional use, I would say just go for the 3 or 4. However the HD does have a bit more options when it comes to picture quality etc. Plus the HD can be removed from its protective case.
I have the 3 and use it occasionally and it is more than enough for what I do.

Can the battery be replaced once it no longer holds a charge?
The unit would need to be sent in to have the battery replaced. The device is attached to its case.

viewfinder? LCD screen?
Does this model have a viewfinder or at least an LCD screen so you can see what video you are actually shooting? If not, how do you know what is in the video you are filming?
It doesn't have a view finder or LCD screen, however you can download the GoPro app and use that to adjust your camera

HOW IS THE BATTERY RECHARGED
METHOD USED TO RECHARGE BATTERY
You will need to open the case and plug the micro USB cable in. Then you can attach that to a computer or a cell phone charger. This is what I used. Just verify yours is OK. Most are, however just make sure.

Best in storage and speed?
I used a regular micro card. It was only 4gb. It only have me 15-20 min of recording. I'm definitely getting something larger
