This item is a necessity, and really a smart thing to buy when getting a new dryer. After all, you usually go a good 20+ years between dryers, and most people NEVER think about cleaning the vent, which can be come a fire hazard. It's usually aluminum, so the old one can be recycled. This works as advertised.

quite the convenient accessory while raising the dryer to the same height as the washer. Only complaint is LG's poor design decision to make it where the large plastic insert for the Dryer (for laying garments like sweaters, etc. on to dry in a certain way), does not fit in the drawer when you are not using it. You're relegated to putting the tray insert on top of the dryer.

This dryer cord is required for successful hook-up of your new appliance. Our delivery personnel will determine whether a 3- or 4-prong cord is needed based on the outlet behind your existing dryer.

Best Buy and the manufacturers have gotten together and made it where you HAVE to buy a new power cord from the retailer when you buy the washer or dryer. The units simply don't come with one.
So, whether you're buying from BB, or from another source, you still get to invest in a brand new power cord. Silly, I know.
My only real complaint is that BB should sell more than just 6-foot power cords. In most homes, the power outlet is OPPOSITE the connection on the back of the washer or dryer, and that limits the position you can put the dryer in your laundry area. At least that's the case for me. A 9-foot or 10-foot cord would have been better.
So, whether you're buying from BB, or from another source, you still get to invest in a brand new power cord. Silly, I know.

The tool, thus far, has already made me happy with its commercial-grade functionality. While you can set all kinds of schedules like older t-stats do, there really is no need. Love that I no longer have to go switching between heat and cool modes. Excited to see how it works over the next several months. BTW, you do NOT have to activate Alexa if you do not want to. You just simply don't associate your Amazon account with the Ecobee registration. I mention this because it isn't quite clear anywhere else. Would be nice to have the "Alexa" i.e., voice command function built in without having to connect it to an Internet account.
