I own a Mac and my husband has a PC. This says that you have to reformat this device to use it with a Mac. Is there a way to use it with both a Mac and a PC?
It looks like this tread is under a USB drive. Are you thinking of plugging this into a router and accessing over the network or are you wanting a product like the seagate central?
To answer your question though it can be used by both depending on if it is formatted properly. Example format it with fat not ntfs. You may still run into problems though if you want to save files larger than 2 gb

USB port
Can this also be used with a usb port on the computer?
You can plug an external USB drive into it and transfer files via ssh in terminal or command promt. Use google to look up how if needed
