Add a little extra oomph to your television's sound with this Samsung sound bar. The basic setup features a 2.1 channel speaker system with left and right speakers to balance the experience. Have set up this sound bar, but the optical digital audio cord we can't get it to fit in the sound bar? Any helpers on that one?

I have a Samsung model UN55HS8000 Smart TV. Can I link this soundbar via Bluetooth to my TV? Under Sound Settings, Wireless Speaker Manager, there is an option for Bluetooth Audio Devices, but not an option for Samsung TV Soundconnect.

Do both the soundbar and sub-woofer need to be plugged into wall outlets or is there a power cable from the soundbar which powers it? Do they both power on when the TV is turned on. Once connected can I choose between the TV speakers or the soundbar.
The sound bar has to be plugged into the wall and the subwoofer has to be plugged into the wall. However, the sound bar automatically connects to subwoofer via bluetooth once turned on. Whether you can choose between speaker and tv speakers will be up to the tv. My sound bar comes on automatically, but I can turn it off and then go into tv settings to turn tv speakers on.
