I only bought this new modem/router as it had 2 usb ports which I thought would come in handy. My other modem/router also an Arris was only 2 years old and still worked fine it just had no usb ports. Ive had a few disconnects from some of my devices but its rare and no big deal. This is a good modem/router IMO.
