My wife had been using a slower and much older iPad for a number of years, and finally conceded it was time for a new one.
Went from a 32G to a 256, 10.5” Pro, and she’s very pleased with the change. The much-improved sound, speed and storage are big pluses.
Considerably lighter & thinner as well.
Bought the Smart Cover for it as well and it’s fine (even if too pricey, in my view).
Great-looking and smoothly-working product.
(Plus there’s that ‘happy wife‘ thing, too.)

I have a previous generation mini without Touch ID, and it almost convinced me to upgrade, but mine still performs flawlessly, so no-go.

Yes, I needed ink, and yes this works. But, I wanted the XL size, that your staff said 'you don't offer', unless bought in the big combo pack.
I'll just throw in the part about how crazy expensive ink is, in my view. Can't fathom how they get away with the prices charged.
Where's all the creative effort to lower the prices? (Not just, or even significantly a BestBuy issue, but more so Epson and others.)

Liking the upgrade!

I've had an iPad Mini w/Retina for a few years, and it still works fine, but got tired of bumping up against the 32G ceiling.
Went for the new iPad Pro 9.7 w/256G, hoping it'd last me forever.
Best Buy having the recent $100 off promo on newest model finally got me to take the plunge.
Maybe it seems like a small thing, but I really like the Touch ID on this one that my old mini didn't have. Also glad that they didn't lose the headphone hole, since I use it for a stylus lanyard when not for headphones.
The new external speakers are a great improvement!
Topped it with Apple's Smart Cover, and so far I really like that (I have a full leather case on the mini). The Cover gives easier access to buttons & ports and keeps the lighter/thinner feel, etc.. Only small downside is the slipperiness of not having anything on the back of the case, so I have to be a bit more careful.
So far, I really like everything about this device. Fast &, smooth, nice, big and beautiful display, and lots of storage!
Easy to recommend.
