I use this to add additional wi-fi coverage in my house and to replace the (cheap) router provided by my ISP. My Internet speed is 300 mbps and on wireless AC I've got up to 305/200.
I haven't had any issues and the Netgear Geni app works great.

I really like this remote, I actually have 3 now. The basic setup is easy and the advanced setup/customization isn't to bad once you get the hang of it.
They have developed a nice app that you can install on your computer and it basically walks you through step by step. All you need is the make and model of your devices, answer a few questions and it does the rest. You can customize all buttons and settings; you can spend as little as 10 minutes setting up a new remote or really customize it and spend an hour. Either way it will do whatever you need it to do.

I have Comcast wireless internet it is hooked up on the first floor but my home computer is on the 2nd floor will this help my speed to the 2nd floor
Yea, it will definitely help. Placement is key though, make sure the extender is close to the end of range but still has a quality connection.

Can the extender be connected through a wired connection to the router?
I already have a CAT 5 wire that goes from the room that houses the router to the room where I want to place the repeater (I do have a large house and backyard). Can I connect the repeater via an Ethernet cable so the signal to repeat has a better quality?
No its an extender only and doesn't have an ethernet port. Check out the Netgear routers (i.e. AC1600 dual band router). The cost is comparable and will give you what you need.

Does this remote use Bluetooth as well as IR?
I have an Amazon Fire TV set top box. The remote functions by Bluetooth. Does this remote work with Bluetooth?
I believe this remote only works with IR.
