Can this sound bar volume be controlled by my Optimum Cablevision remote that is controlling the TV?
Yes it can. I use my dish network controller and it also controls the sound bar.

Ohms?
I would be using this with a 200watt compact stereo system that I have connected to my bedroom tv as well. The stereo system is 200 watt, 6ohm, or 16 ohm for surround so it says on the back. 50hz to 19khz. Will this soundbar work with the stereo I am using?
It should, I just have it connected to my tv and my phone via Bluetooth
