Alright here's the thing. If you haven't gotten a new DualShock 4 since around September-November of 2016 then you need to. because around the time they released the Slim and Pro they released a new version of the DualShock 4. Normally not important but they made some changes: First, the light bar. all new DualShock 4's now have a strip on the touchpad that lets you see the light of the light bar of the back of the controller so you don't have to move the controller over to see the bar. Next, the new controllers can be used with any PlayStation 4 in USB mode when connected by the USB cable and most importantly it has an improved battery life. That last one was the main reason why I got a new controller. I may have got this color but ultimately the color is up to you just get a new DualShock 4.

If you know someone with a 3DS family (including 2DS) system, a Wii U, and most importantly a Switch this is a great gift for them! you don't even have to get a actual card you can send them one through e-mail (and the e-gift cards have a lot more amounts then the physical cards). This is also great if you want to get a piece of Add-on content or a digital only title or you want a normal game digitally? These are your friend.

Now of the trinity of console gaming (Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony), Nintendo has always been the ones to be the most daring. This gave them the money printer known as the Wii while admittedly also giving them the nightmare that was the Wii U (that however wasn't actually a result of lack of innovation but more the result of really bad marketing, an almost non-exist third party presence and a bit to do with the comparative technical specifications of the console compared to the original PlayStation 4 and original Xbox One (it didn't even come close to the Xbox One, Actually, come to think about it, the Switch is needless to say actually more powerful than the Wii U and the console itself is really just a small tablet that has a dock to output to a TV). Needless to say Switch is not the Wii U and the Joy Con are prime examples of Nintendo's creative thinking and are actually the result of feedback from the Wii Remote. But the Joy Con may be a headache to some. The face buttons (A,B,X,Y) are literally the size of the 3DS one's and more importantly the D-pad is a split one instead of full not to mention even in the Grip the Joy-Con might be a bit small. If you find these to be problems, then the Pro Controller is for you. It's a more traditional control that fixes all these problems and it still has all the functionality of the Joy-Con. So yeah this will be your friend if you want a controller other than the Joy-Con in the Joy-Con Grip.

OK given that everyone has a car here I thing that it goes without saying that this is a good investment. Just plug it into that special port and what normally takes the AC adapter to do you can do with these. I imagine this would be also be useful for any kids with a Switch during a long car ride. So yeah this is a pretty solid investment.

Listen, they literally discontinued the Wii U back in January of 2017. So if you want to play Nintendo home games, you're going to have to get this. Besides Breathe of the Wild is amazing and the idea of playing Skyrim, Bayonnetta and Bayonnetta 2, Dark Souls, and countless other home titles on the go should really make this a no brainer.
