Refreshing take on an old story

While this is just a modern day remake of the original sleeping beauty from the 50's, it's nice to see the new splash of technology on the old story. That being said there a lot of creative licenses taken with this movie on the origin tale of Maleficent and her involvement with Aurora over her 16 years of being cursed and the "Forzen" style twist at the end for an act of true love was quite refreshing. On top of the fact that there weren't too many major movie sins I highly recommend this movie to anyone.

this movie is just like most comedies with comedians ... hilarious the first time you watch it, kinda funny the second time and you'll never make it to the third time because while this movie was initially fun I ended up just wanting to put it in my collection and move on with my life.

This movie set up alot of the stories from the original movie as well as tied together some lose ends on how the monsters grew into who we met in the first movie. Whether or not you have small kids this movie is always in rotation in my house even when i'm working from home, it's nice to have it on in the background and makes a great "show me the 3d" type of movie to bring your friends into the 3d world.

This movie better sets the stage for who Riddick is as an individual and an overall warrior for the follow up conclusion to the Riddick saga. If you like pitch black and hated Chronicles of Riddick you will love this movie because it's all about Riddick and none of that other stupid stuff from the second movie. I like this movie so much that I purchased it willingly giving my money to extend the franchise rather than just downloading it off the Internet....
