Works w/ Windows (Won't Work w/ Linux)

Once it's up and running it's a fine product. If your running Vista Ultimate (MCE) be sure to install the drivers FIRST, then the WinTV app. Then you'll need to hide the 'update' that Windows wants to stick on there the next time you run updates. That thing will jam up the works and I eventually just dumnped my entire image and started from scratch (which is sort of like killing a fly w/ a canon, but I wasn't in the mood to chase after a PVR driver).
One last thing (kind of a biggie for me) WILL NOT WORK AT ALL W/ LINUX!! I've read posts of people getting this thing functioning on some of the newer distros, but try as I might I couldn't for the life of me get this thing functioning. Ended up purchasing a PCIe 1600 that worked pretty much out of the box.
What's great about it: Once the drivers are correctly installed, records a nice picture using both Vista Ultimate and Windows 7.
What's not so great: There is a VERY specific order to installing the drivers/software in Vista. Won't work AT ALL w/ linux.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What is an internet card?

There are a couple different things you could mean here:

1.) A wireless networking card.
2.) An ethernet card.

Both of which will be very different depending on whether your talking about a desktop or laptop.

external hard drive to tv

what do I need to hook up external hard drive to tv and does it need to be still plugged to pc
This one needs a bit more info.

Are you trying to view videos that you've put on the external hard drive?

Do you have a computer next to the TV already?

What kind of TV setup do you have?
