I bought this in combination with the matching LG washer. I have not explored the steam function. I use the normal load for drying without the energy saver feature. For more delicate or easily wrinkled fabrics, I would suggest a separate drying cycle where you can use a cooler temperature.

This is my second purchase of an LG washer. This model has the steam feature but I have not used it. I needed a smaller depth washer to fit into a hallway laundry. This is so much better than the 2.2 cu. ft. washer I used for fifteen years. There are a nice variety of options for temperature, load size and spin strength. I find normal wash with cold water works fine for a typical load with a combination of fabrics.

Purchased this to complement the washer in very tight quarters. Ended up switching the placement with the washer since the door to the dryer can be moved but not the washer. Wish the default was to not have the Energy Saver cycle on so I have to be sure it is off. Otherwise, very pleased.
