Robert Zemeckis' Cast Away comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in DTS ES Surround, DD-EX Surround, and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Zemeckis with other members of the crew. This is a very strong disc from 20th Century Fox, although there is another edition that comes loaded with extras.

Although this is not Tom Hanks' best movie in my opinion (I love Saving Private Ryan, Forest Gump & Road To Perdition), this movie shows what an incredible actor he really is. For all intents & purposes, Tom Hanks is the only person in the entire movie, and he keeps it engaging and entertaining, even with a lack of dialogue for most of the film. This movie is totally unique.

Best Buy was one of a the only stores I found that actually carried these big CD binders anymore. Yeah, yeah, I know, the 90s called, and they want their product back. Nevertheless, I still use a lot of CDs, and this gets the job done.

A friend of mine told me about this band from Australia, and he couldn't stop raving about them. I saw them live twice earlier this year on tours w/ Stick To Your Guns and then The Ghost Inside. They blew me away, so I bought their first 2 CDs and eagerly awaited this one. This CD is the best of their three CDs so far, and I think these guys will be huge. Check them out!

After seeing The Browning live three times, I finally decided to buy one of their CDs, and I'm glad I did. A lot of bands are dabbling in combining electronic music with metal core slightly, but these guys do it to the extreme, and it sounds awesome! This album is really in-your-face, and it's also perfect for listening to while working out because it's both extremely groovy & extremely heavy.
