When aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games like PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede and Space Invaders as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, '80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler) to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.

Very Enjoyable Family Movie

I was hoping to see this movie when it came out, but having missed it, I was very much looking forward to seeing this... and it did not disappoint. Having grown up in the time when all of the games used in the movie were made, I found seeing them CGI'd and in full specs very amusing.
The plot line wasn't complicated and the movie itself was something you could enjoy with the entire family. Plus, for me, watching it in 3D I got the feel the creators were going for.
If you just want a good time and some good laughs, pop it in, sit back and enjoy this one.

A Must Own for Versatile

I purchased this machine as a portable blu-ray player to take with me when I travel and/or visit stay with family/friends, and this small machine delivers in a big way.
The single HDMI hook up allows you to take less wires to use the machine, while maintaining clear video/audio reception. It's size allows you to throw it into something as small as a book bag and still have room for everything else you need to take with you. And the quality is more than I expected based on the size. Not To mention is has wi-fi capability, allowing you access to all of your major movie streaming services.
Overall, this is a very good, functional and portable machine which should be used for that purpose or for a child's room.
