Titanfall 2 is more measured and intelligent than its predecessor, but just as fluid and kinetic. I’ll admit — I had high hopes for Titanfall 2. The fundamental gameplay was not deep or rewarding enough for me to stick around and explore many of the planets the game has to offer. With such basic combat and inventory management, it quickly wears thin and I felt like I was dragging myself from system to system in search of Atlas.
