I chose this router as a replacement for an older Netgear router that got hit by lightning. I was hoping that the extra price I paid would equate to better performance. It does work well for half our house, about the same as our previous router. It just has a hard time reaching the ends of the house. We still have to use the extender to get good connectivity. We have that problem with every router that we have owned.
Don't get me wrong, this is a good router, easy to set up, and the closer systems work great. Streaming is fast and we have very little buffering when watching videos online.

What's great about it: It was easy to install and works great for most of the systems in our home.
What's not so great: Still need an extender about half way across the house to reach some rooms.
