Wash more clothes at once with this high-efficiency washer. The delay-start function will start a load at the time you designate, freeing up your schedule to do other tasks. Samsung's exclusive Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) dramatically reduces vibration and noise commonly associated with front-load washers.

Great if you want to wash clothes for 14 hours

Ok, where to start, first off the buttons stick. Had the washing machine for one day and the buttons stuck (the dryer too by the way). The hose does not drain properly either, so the washer leaks too. Still leaks. I have had this washer since Jan 2008. I bought it because I was due with twin girls in April 2008 and I needed a bigger washer and dryer to support the increase in clothing output. I have 4 kids now, add a husband and my mom, that is alot of clothes to wash. Anyway, back to the problems. If you put liquid detergent in the tray it leaks into the drum/machine before the proper drainage timeframe. I called service and I was told to not use liquid and to use powder, so why is there even a liquid option on the tray???? Why is liquid HE made?? Anyway, I HAVE to use this particular detergent, it is the only one that my family will not break out from. I can use anything, but my husband and my kids break out if I don't use a specific detergent, so there goes the powder option. Then there is the matter of the inside of the machine stinking....ugh, it stinks so bad. And I used all the washing machine cleaning products out there. Even the new one that Tide makes. I even wipe it down and leave the door open (as long as the room is locked I have two 2 year olds now). Nothing works. NEXT....come laundry day I only have 5 loads to do, but the cycles take about 2.5 hours each so that is about 14 hours spent just washing clothes!! I use 2 perminant press cycles, no special treaments either, just tide detergent, no steam, no pre-wash nothing, and then 2 gentle cycles, no special treatments either, and still it is about 2.5 hours each cycle to total about 14 hours washing. Then I have to transfer them to the matching Samsung dryer that also has sticking buttons that is supposed to sense when your clothes are dry yet stops and leaves them wet! yep! Fun. That Dryer then takes about another 2 hours per load to dry, so then there goes my entire day just to wash and dry laundry, I end up using the following day putting the clothes away. Let me put it like this. I started my laundry at 7am this morning and it is 10:50pm and I still have one load left waiting to go into the dryer. I only washed my twins' clothes, my husband's and my clothes. Not my mom's or my two older kids clothes. If I had done that then I would of been up until about 3 or 4am. Rediculas. I am going to sell this set to my dad who is single and has just his own clothes to wash and I am going to purchase the Electrolux model that is supposed to have faster cycles. I just don't have the TIME for this!
What's great about it: It is silver, it has alot of buttons
What's not so great: leaks, smells, long cycles, buttons stick
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have a Samsung Washer Model #419. How many pounds will this washer hold? And can you use Oxyclean dry detergent in it?

Don't know how many pounds it will hold, but yes you can use oxyclean. You put it in the pre-wash spot in the detergent tray. Now you can only use the pre-wash cycle in a warm water cycle. It won't work in delicate or handwash, so in that case you just place a scoop of oxyclean directly in the washing machine before you place your clothes inside for that cycle. I know because I do this and I was told to do this from Samsung.

What is the best washing machine for allergy sufferers?

allergy sufferers
The LG WM3001HRA Washing machine with steam. It is the only washing machine that I know of that is certified for allergy sufferiers. I have asthma and allergies and I look for these certified products. I know the Dyson Vacuum Cleaners are also certified. The Washing machine has a cycle called allergiene and it kills 95% of household allergines. No other washing machines have this feature. This is something LG has had exclusive to them. Even thier older Steam models have it. If you could find them. I hope this helps.
