As good as it gets

Hubby and I had this out of the box, base assembled, plugged in, cable connected, and operational in about 30 minutes. It took a little longer to auto-program the channels, but that's to be expected. The instructions for assembling the base are fairly useless, but assembly is really easy and intuitive once you pull out the pieces (there are only a few) and look them over. Most important, the TV has a wonderful picture and the sound quality is nice. Most programming isn't up to the TV's 4k capabilities yet. But 4k programming is coming, and I have no doubt this TV will display it spectacularly. I stood in the Best Buy store and watched the various 4k TVs displaying 4k content, and this one was the best by far. So, in a word, I am a satisfied buyer.

Not a great start

Admittedly, I am a novice with action cameras, but I thought I'd at least be able to upload the one very short video I made from the camera to the computer. Not yet. And, while I was trying to figure it out, the battery died. I didn't know that until I tried to capture video again a few days later. Also, I had a heck of a time unfastening the latch that holds the case closed. There is a tool for this, but I've not been able to find one sold separately from expensive accessory kits that have lots of other stuff I don't want or need. So this may be a great camera, but the learning curve is much steeper than I thought and I haven't had time to devote to educating myself. For the novice, this is definitely not user-friendly right out of the box.

Best $5 I've spent in a long time

I got this on sale for $5 for a friend whose Surface case was falling apart. I was a bit skeptical about how well the little kick stand that holds the device in the upright position would work. It's a lot like the fold out kick stand on some picture frames. But my friend loves it and has had no trouble at all with it staying upright as it should. It looks nice and fits his Surface perfectly.
