Fast, compact and light SSD

Plugged it into the SATA III port on my desktop PC, Was too small to mount in the 3.5" drive bay, so just suspended it from the power and SATA connectors, as it is very light weight. That allowed for good air circulation around the drive. Did a clean install of Windows 10 and all was great from there. The SSD is much faster than the old 75GB Raptor HD it replaced. Would definitely buy again.

Good camera with built-in storage capability

We purchased the Samsung Smartcam HD to connect to a Smartthings hub as part of a home security system. It works well for that use. We are able to view the camera stream from the Smartthings phone app after receiving an alert message from the motion sensor in that area.
The camera was easy to connect to the Smartthings hub and just sits on a window sill. The internal microSD card stores the video on a first-in, first-out basis and eliminates the need to pay for the video storing service from Smartthings.
Will probably buy a second one for another area of the house once I am sure the new pet-friendly motion sensors work as expected.

The Smartthings motion sensor is a small, very sensitive motion sensor that is easy to install and link with the Smartthings hub. It pretty much hides on a white wall. It also acts as a wireless repeater so other Smartthings accessories can be mounted further away from the hub.
The only complaint is that it is not pet friendly. Our cats repeatedly triggered the motion sensor every time they walked through the area. This should be stated on the box. If you have pets, Ecolink has a compatible motion sensor that is pet-friendly.

Nice smart home system that is easy to install

Bought the Smartthings starter kit for use mostly as a self-monitored security system. It works pretty well for that, especially after they fixed some issues with arming/disarming the system. The only major issue is that the motion sensors from Smartthings are not pet-friendly and triggered every time one of our cats walked through the area. Smartthings tech support recommended a compatible pet-friendly motion sensor from another company (Ecolink), so the issue was resolved.
What I like the most about the system is the large number of compatible devices from other manufacturers. This really adds to the usefulness and versatility of the system. We have since purchased a couple of smart wall outlets and a smart wall switch from Leviton, but have yet to install them. These will replace the timers currently plugged into the outlets and allow more programming versatility.
Overall, I am very happy with the Smartthings system and would buy it again.

Using as a display for my DVD/CD Changer

I needed an inexpensive display to show on-screen menus for my Pioneer 301 disk DVD/CD changer in my living room music system (no TV viewing, just music). It only has NTSC and component video outputs, so needed a compatible display. This TV has component video inputs and worked perfectly. Its small size fits perfectly on top of the A/V cabinet without taking over the wall area.
I also connected the TV to my wireless network. This will allow me to stream music from the Internet. The TV has a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack on the back, which I was able to connect to an audio input on my AV receiver. Connection to the wireless network was amazingly easy.
Don't know how well it would work as a TV or video playback device, just that the old-school low-res menus from my DVD player look great!

I needed a pair of speakers to replace my old Marantz Imperial 7 MK II's from the 70's to pair up with my Pioneer Elite VSX29-TX Receiver for music-only listening in the living room.
Listened to these in the Magnolia demo room at Best Buy and was sold! They have a much cleaner sound than my old speakers and the built-in subwoofers are perfect for the size of the room.
I have a Definitive Technology Mythos surround system for the home theater, so already knew the company's products and customer service are excellent.

No, it just lets you see whom is present and whom isn't. I named the sensor with the person's name, so I know if John is home and Jane isn't.

can you hook up standard vhs and dvd to this tv
This TV has a component video input. If your DVD player has a component video output, you can connect it. There is only one input, so can only connect one other device, unless you feed everything to the TV through an AV receiver.
