New twist to the old classic story we enjoyed in 1960 but told with a new Director, Cast and modern technology that “can-deliver.” And deliver it does, a great and grand sound track, worthwhile acting performances by the entire Troop and amazing cinematography that captures the greatness and grandness of the Western America. The Director had a clear vision for this film, he knew what he wanted and he got it! The iconic “original” Magnificent Seven Score introduces the film and then transforms to James Horner’s “last” Film Score and it is his memorable legacy which we enjoy on film. This moving-picture reaches out and captures the audience’s emotion – the saga will “touch” you. It’s a story of misfits coming together for the good of their fellow-man and its’ view is a memorable experience – you will watch it again and often! In short, this is a “grand Western film” worthy of your viewing time and you will enjoy it more than once – I do often!

BARROW ALASKA OCTOBER, 1988 At times this marvelously choreographed saga is emotionally touching – it’s both a brilliant and splendidly told story about some of nature’s harshest conditions – minus 40°F. Back-Drop: Atop thickening ice on the Beaufort Sea. News reporters from around the world gathered in Barrow, AK so that they could report freeing the whales in their native language. In addition to telling the whale rescue story it also articulates the story of the culture and environment the Alaskan Inupiat Indians. This is a great family-view!

This movie is exceptionally well-crafted by the director, his casting choices and the marvelous cinematography made for a view that was extremely satisfying and emotionally appealing. Great character development and each protagonist takes a challenging journey as the story-line develops. Superb entertainment is crafted into this well scripted and directed movie that was shot in just 21 days. It’s all very old school – no CGI but none-the-less there’s solid visual story-telling in this phenomenal Horse opera which easily translates to a Great Viewing Experience for Mature Audiences.

A Brutish Action Flick that’s An Outstanding View.

Elements of the Frankenstein myth are reinvented, improved and integrated into this interesting high-concept type of a movie. In the beginning it’s a very high-tech caper do to a national emergency situation - as the plot ensues it reduces itself to the basics of sheer survival. The saga is exceptionally fast-paced with tension and unexpected surprises a-plenty. There are precious moments of release from the action with the display of fondness but by-in-large this is a brutish action flick that’s an outstanding view. The film is very-well casted – the entire cast holds their own and comes together in their telling of the story – and it was competently directed as well. London and its suburbs are also a central character to this film, and its’ sound-track and sound-effects materially assisted and complemented the films story-telling. Collectively, it all comes together for a great emotional and memorable viewing experience.

Epic story of J. Edgar Hoover, former FBI Director

It is said that casting is everything and Eastwood, the Director, really got it right. The clothing, automobiles and social customs of about the 70 year period of the films story were very closely replicated, materially added to the story-telling and a fuller understanding of the saga by the audience. Filmed in color but most scenes were very dark which I am sure was the Directors desire to more effectively tell the story which was shrouded in mystery.
