I’ve had this TV for about a month now and have gotten a thorough chance to use it. First impressions were what I expected...amazing! The C8 comes with great settings right out of the box with the most notable being ISF and Technicolor. These settings are pretty good without needing to do anything other than removing clear motion and power saving. Clear motion induces soap opera effect and makes things look weird. If you’re going to mount (recommended), it takes two people. The TV is really thin and LG has packed great instructions regarding how to handle the TV.
I can’t comment on sound quality as I have had it paired with a soundbar since day 1. Let’s be realistic though, the thinner the TV is the worse the sound gets. I recommend the SK10y. However, unless you mount the TV, the soundbar cannot sit directly below the TV due to clearance between the bottom of the TV and bottom of the stand. The only other option is an entertainment stand with a soundbar shelf. Make sure the width of the shelf accommodates this behemoth. :)
No issues with burn in (there are settings to reduce and also fix). Banding happens on very few TVs unlike the 2017s which had a higher frequency of banding. Amazing picture! To get Atmos through to a soundbar, utilize the ARC function.

Best LG Soundbar for 2018

I previously owned the SK8y and was not too impressed. Sure, the sound was okay and if it fits your budget then that’s the way to go. The sound is still crisp and is reasonably priced. However, if you can get a great deal through bundling with the SK10 you won’t be disappointed. Having had this soundbar for a few days now, I can notice significant differences between the SK8 and SK10. Most notable being the bass, more enveloping surround, and more control over settings. If you’re going to buy this soundbar, I think you’ll be absolutely happy. Keep in mind that the soundbar length is as wide as a 65” TV. I have mine paired with a 65” OLED C8.
Pros: Deeper bass, crisp dialogue, Atmos, ease of use, 4K pass through, 5.1.2
Cons: Size is huge

Great headphones

I now love these after some initial frustration with setup. Connecting to my LG OLED C8 was a breeze. Connecting to my Apple 4K TV was a breeze. Connecting to my iPhone X was not a breeze. Sure, it paired just fine, but I couldn’t figure out why I had no sound for movies or music and why I had super low call volume without the ability to adjust the volume. Come to find out after a few hours of searching on Google I came across an Apple thread mentioning my same issue. Only one commenter actually had the fix with the rest of the commenters either having my issue or suggesting to re-pair the AirPods.
The solution for anyone having my same issue is easy once you know where to look. Settings >> Music >> Volume Limit set to max and Sound Check turned off. Boom! Now I had full control over volume change for phone calls and I could actually hear video & music.
I hope this review helps someone! I highly recommend this product. The sounds are crisp, good bass, nice simulated surround, charges quickly, and no wires! You can charge the case while using the headphones and then return them once done to recharge and store. Firmware automatically updates when in use in the background.

The quality of the 4K resolution is amazing and the movie itself is absolutely hilarious. I’m pleased overall with this soundbar. Great sound once you get it setup and tweak the settings for bass. I currently have it connected via HDMI ARC and in movie mode in my setup.
Pros: Dolby Atmos, HDMI ARC, optical, HDMI in, HDMI out, ease of setup, clarity of sound, good lows without drowning out the mids and highs, Wi-Fi setup and use
Cons: Initial bass settings too low and need adjusted, no 4K pass through (minor feature for most), Atmos only works with HDMI ARC

I initially am marking this a 4 star only because the player doesn’t play Dolby Atmos, but will be once TV OS 11.5 is released.
I love this player though. It’s an upgrade from a 2nd gen Apple TV and I’m absolutely happy.
Pros: Ease of use, Dolby Vision, HDR, plenty of apps, Dolby Digital +
Cons: Lacks Dolby Atmos (for now), remote sensitivity needs adjusted
Overall an outstanding player. Lack of Atmos support at the moment shouldn’t deter anyone from buying as an update will be here soon.

If the broadcast is in 4K then yes. If not, the Apple 4K TV will stream in its native resolution and your tv will upconvert the signal from HD to near 4K resolution.

Will this work okay with 10mbps internet which is the fastest I can get at this time? I have a 1080p TV but want an apple product, and also thinking about possible future upgrades. How does it work for streaming live sports? Smooth or choppy?
10 mbps download speeds for any streaming device would introduce buffering or choppiness. I recommend increasing your internet speeds if you can (I know you said 10 mbps is the most you can get at the moment). A lot of factors play into whether or not it is sufficient such as ISP (throttling, sharing of bandwidth between internet and tv, # of devices connected to the internet, distance away from router, interference, etc.). The player is great overall and would work with your tv. It will play 1080P. When you upgrade to a 4K TV, you will most definitely need an upgrade to your internet speeds. Having 25-35 mbps will work for most people although I recommend at a minimum 40 mbps for a smooth quality. Streaming sports will look great after the upgrades, but it also depends upon your tv’s ability to handle motion. For your current tv, it depends upon how your tv handles motion and how high your download speeds will be. I recommend starting with upgrading your internet service either concurrently with your purchase or shortly afterwards. Without knowing your environment for the internet and your tv mode it is tough to say 100% the streaming will be flawless. When researching a new tv, I suggest consumer reports and heading into Best Buy to see them first hand and ask questions. I hope this helps!
