Disappointing Blu-ray...at first
on May 30, 2011

Huge Kill Bill fan so I picked up a copy of Kill Bill Vol 2 on Blu-ray. The black and white scenes are kind of grainy but I think that's how it was in the movie theaters. The scenes filmed in color look fantastic and this is definitely a welcome addition to my Blu-ray library. Watch the entire movie before passing judgement...you'll see the grainy scenes were filmed that way.
What's great about it: Great Price ($9.99), Video/Sound Quality are good.
What's not so great: Not enough extras
I would recommend this to a friend!

SynopsisThe ball is heavy resting in your hands, your fingers entrenched in the three holes. You squint one eye shut, position your arm just right and let the ball rip down the lane ~ flawless backspin, perfect aim. The ball pitches along the wood, faster and faster, until with a resounding clatter, the pins scatter in beautiful disarray ~ every last one. Just a few more strikes and that massive, shiny prize will be decorating your trophy room, amidst many, many others, of course. Get your game out of the gutter and aim for accuracy ~ this is the bowling competition you've been waiting for. The quirky ambience, the fascinating characters and the palm-sweating challenge of the alley come to life right in your living room in High Velocity Bowling. Step into the multicolored bowling shoes of a zany bowler from a uniquely themed alley, and find out if you've got what it takes to really bowl with the high rollers. Choose a ball and costume that suit your style, then step up to the line, wind back and let loose for that perfect strike. With the intensely accurate motion-sensing capabilities of the PlayStation Move, deliver each swing with the vivid realism of being right at the alley. Work your way through the tournaments, matches and trick shot showmanship competitions of Challenge mode, or take on your friends in offline or voice chat-enabled online modes. Can you roll with the punches and score the biggest trophies in the league?

Not was I was expecting...

If you are expecting a bowling game like Kinect Sports or Wii Sports this is not the game for you. The game was designed to use a PS3 motion controller, not the MOVE. It's more like watching someone bowl and releasing the trigger in time than playing a game of bowling. The graphics are good but it's not enough to make up for the terrible game play. (trust me) If you get this game you will surely be disappointed. I've seen free apps on the Android Marketplace and Zune that are better than this game.
What's great about it: Graphics and $9.99 price. (on sale)
What's not so great: Game play, comedy, can't return bad games, $9.99 price. (paid $9.98 to much!)

Great choice for the Kinect

Unlike the Wii, you can't sit on the couch and play this game. So if you have a problem with getting up and going through the motions, this game isn't for you. But if you want to run, punch, and jump your way to victory, you're going to like this game. The track and field is great. It's similar to the 80's arcade game Track and Field except you have to run in place and jump or throw before you reach the foul line. (lot of fun) Bowling is just as good as either of the MOVE versions and beach volleyball is a little better. The Kinect feels more like you are playing volleyball than the MOVE's version. To Sony's credit, the MOVE table tennis is better because of the control over the paddle. But this version of table tennis is better than the Wii and a lot of fun. Overall I think this is a great game and well worth the asking price. Like Wii sports or Sports Champions, this isn't a game you will find yourself playing daily. But it's the perfect game to pull out when you have a few freinds over.
What's great about it: Track and Field events, great workout, Kinect action photos, multiplayer with one controller
What's not so great: Hand gesture navigation is slow...need voice command.

Not as bad as they say
on July 19, 2009

For anyone considering this game, it's not half as bad as some of the reviews I've read. Yes, it could have been better if 2k sports would have tested it before they released it. But the occasional bugs add to the game the same way an umpire in real life adds to a MLB game. Besides, most of the reported bugs don't have anything to do with the game's outcome. These are bugs such as the manager dissapearing when he's obviously trying to walk to the pitcher's mound. It's kind of funny?
What's great about it: Graphics, controls, Live roster update, the price
What's not so great: occasional bugs, fielding is kind of difficult

Wheels ?????

Which wheel/pedal combo should i buy?
None. You'll end up using the controller so don't bother getting a steering wheel for the PS3.
