2016 was a spectacular year for the horror/thriller genre. One of the best horror films that came out of the bunch was lights out. James Wan is revolutionizing the horror film genre with titles such as this along with insidious. Even with a pg-13 rating, Wan still manages to push the envelope and get the most out of his films.

I liked this movie it was a clever twist to the original movie that i adored a s child. The actresses all did a excellent job with their rolls and the movie found a good way to pay homage to the original actors of the film. Special effects were also top notch. I would recommend this on blu ray.

My favorite performance and movie starring Arnold in more than a decade. This movie is not his usual action packed movie but instead he shines a drama/thriller that stands out as a character piece. This movie showes me arnold actually has acting chops and not just shootem up movies with awesome one liners.

Easily Jesse Eisenbergs 3rd best movie behind social network and Zombieland. His performance was way better that which he put forth in Batman vs Super. He actually pulled off being a jason bourne esque character but ut was believable. Worth buying on blu ray

I give this a 6 out 10. Its a good but not a great movie. It has its flaws but the visuals help carry yhis movie. The apes are not on par with dawn of the planet of the apes but they are good. All in all this movie is worth checking out on blu ray.
