I bought this because my dog always chews my wire. I have it on a table and he can't get it. Ran the wire tight against the wall. It's pretty cool. Doesn't seem to charge through my case and seems slower than the cord but you can just pick the phone up. It works good no problems.

I have a 7.1 B and W system in the living room. I wanted to use preouts to put two speakers for zone 2 in the bedroom. It was between these and the Martin Logan motion 4s. I did in fact buy the logans but ended up exchanging for these. These integrate well with other speakers. The bass output from these is phenomenal. They were also on sale for $165 a piece! Overall these really are the better speaker. They sound more neutral than the Logans, they can be cranked up soo loud without distortion, and have tremendous bass output and sound for their size. They really are great! It's amazing how loud they can go without distorting. Also with these for music I feel like a sub is optional where as the Logans absolutely need one. Comparing these with my BW 685s2s in the living room, I would say they're actually comparable with the BW having a slightly better midrange. Keep in mind these cost less than half and are way smaller with a smaller midrange. Honestly I feel like they could ask more for these and getting the on sale is a crime for what you get!

Stunning but underwhelming

These speakers are gorgeous. The high frequencies are stunning. They sound amazing for their size. I have a B&W 7.1 system in my living room. I added these two to my bedroom for music. I ended up exchanging them for Deftech Promonitor 1000s. You absolutely need a subwoofer with these in my opinion. Also, I feel like they favor the upper frequencies. They're amazing but don't integrate well with other speakers brands. When I had both rooms on and was in between these completely drowned out the living room. To me they sound bright. Overall I'm glad I went with the Deftechs. I do miss that tweeter though. The Deftechs can handle way more wattage by the way and cost less. The bass from the Deftechs is astounding.

Best subwoofer under $500.

This is a great subwoofer. This is the best subwoofer under $500 hands down. I got mine open box, so needless to say I was very impressed for $299. Even if I spent the $449 I would have been more than happy. Room shaking, tight bass. Extremely powerful. You would have to spend some serious money, several hundred more to get a better subwoofer. This subwoofer is great for music and movies with ample power and clean sound. You will be surprised. I would say this beats out the Martin Logan Dynamo 500, or any of the Bowers and Wilkins subs under $700, and even the deftech, Like I said, you would have to spend considerably more to match or beat it.

Maybe. It has read and white audio inputs. But you have to check if the tvs speakers still work with audio outputs selected as well. Also does the tv have rca outs? It will send the subwoofer all frequencies though and it is only equipped to handle the low frequencies I'd definetely buy a cheaper sub to try it out. or just buy a cheap avr and two cheap bookshelf speakers.
