The 12 ft length makes it easy to connect to a tv and laptop and have slack to sit comfortably angled towards your audience if you have to hardwire into a TV for a presentation. My wife bought a new Mac and needed simple clean looking case for protection. This does the job. One gripe is when clicking the case on the screen and the bottom, the tabs used to latch on the Mac are very small and may not fully hold onto it when you're putting it on initially. Otherwise solid investment for simple protection.
