Actually, it's pretty hard to nail exactly what the tone of this film is. I hesitate to call it an out-and-out comedy, but it has certainly funny elements.

Perhaps my memory of this film was a bit kinder than the reality, but it didn't hold the same spark it once did for me.
Picture and sound quality are solid, though, and for a few bucks it's worth it for the quick nostalgia.

Nothing special, but pretty

While the first 300 was if nothing else a masterwork of Zack Snyder's singular style, the second appears a little more amateurish, trying to recapture the same lightning in a bottle. But that doesn't stop it from being an entertaining action flick, as long as you're not an ancient history professor driven to apoplexy by the numerous historical inaccuracies.
