can I use the NetgearWNR2000 Router ? ,
Have a windows XP with an internet provider also have a Windows laptop that is NOT hooked up to internet. I am computer illiterate. so do not know if I can use that router to get WIFI From my desktop to my laptop. the desktop windows XP is about 5 years old and the laptop which has never had an internet provider or been hooked up to internet is almost 3 years old.
Someone told me that they are too old to use that router, I cant afford to spend the money if it will not work. Nicki

If your laptop has wireless capabilities you should have no problem. This router works with Windows XP. Cable the router between your modem and your desktop.
