A Different Addition to the Marvel Franchise

This movie is unlike any other film that Marvel has released recently. It's basically an action/comedy full of classic songs from the 70s making it almost like a musical. I'm sure the soundtrack is amazing. It had just enough action to keep me interested, and just the right amount of humor but it wasn't over the top. The special effects were also amazing.

A Perfect Sequel to the First Avenger

The Winter Soldier is an excellent sequel to the first Captain America movie. Anthony Mackie as the Falcon is also a nice addition to the Marvel family. Keep your ears and eyes open for references to Dr. Strange and Quicksilver as well. The action sequences in this movie are great because the C.G.I. isn't overdone. The only thing that I don't like about this movie is that I'll have to wait until the Avengers sequel releases before Captain America makes another appearance. This is a stand-alone movie that makes sense even if you've never seen the first Captain America movie or The Avengers.

These are three ok action/romance comedies. Date Night is extremely funny as are most SNL based comedies. Mr. & Mrs. Smith has great action sequences, and is also funny. Brad and Angelina obviously have great chemistry in this film. This Means War is also an added bonus. Chris Pine, Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon mesh well together. I only wish these DVDs came with digital copies.

I love the fact that each movie is on its own disc, and all three movies aren't jammed onto one disc like most combo packs. The only thing that could have made this better is if they came with digital copies for all three films. That still does not take away from the value of this package. Carrie is a classic that has been re-made several times, but none are better than the first. Misery is a great film, and so is Silence of the Lambs.

If you like mindless violence without substance then this is definitely the film for you. Don't get me wrong, I like a good "shoot em' up" movie from time-to-time, but this movie had absolutely no point. It could've been a descent movie if the plot had been better.

If the acting wasn't so terrible, and it wasn't so ridiculously long, this could've been a great movie. The dialogue was average at best; however, the fight scenes and visual effects were most impressive. This is not something a person would want to watch more than once unless you were a fan of the graphic novel.

The fight sequences in this movie (specifically the one between Donnie Yen and Jet Li) are some of the best I've seen. The slow motion shots combined with the panoramic visuals are amazing. The only thing I don't like about the movie is that some of the voice-overs really don't match the characters. The plot makes up for it though.
