To this point, the griddle has only been used for bacon. Once we make some pancakes, I will see if (like our old griddle) it has some hot spots to be aware of. My only slight complaint is that the drip tray is not as large as the one on our old griddle. The first time I used it I tried to tip it forward a little to get the excess grease to drain off of the griddle only to have a grease puddle start to form on the counter. One griddle-full of bacon is enough to fill up the drip tray, so just be careful to empty halfway through, or just avoid trying to pull the thing out while it is full.

We have used this waffle maker 2-3 times now and have been pleased with the results. It's makes decent sized waffles that fit on a plate without hanging over the edge and encouraging the kids to make a mess. They don't need that kind of encouragement. We tend to leave the waffles in a little longer than the indicator light wants us to; we like our waffles crispier. It's not as heavy duty in appearance as some other waffle makers we have looked at, but so far it works just fine.

I had another stereo like this one that I had used to transfer tapes and albums to CD, but it stopped working (disk drawer stuck). I needed a replacement to continue these projects and this was the selection I finally settled on. The record player works just fine. The speakers may not be quite as nice as my previous model, but they are acceptable. The difference is how you transfer the tapes/albums. I'm not sure if the description was completely clear or not (I had looked at SEVERAL choices before deciding), but I thought that this model also recorded directly to a CD like my old model. It does not. You have to run a cable (included) to your computer and record a file to it. The software is included. It's a little trickier than I would prefer, but usable. It is also time consuming to split the record side A or B files into individual tracks, but I hope to figure out the best way to do it soon.
Overall, this is a decent piece of equipment. It was priced well which is why I went with it in the first place. I just wish my older, simpler model was still functioning.

I can't comment on the differences between 3.0 and the earlier versions. The kids still enjoy playing and having new character sets to choose from. I have had a few occasions of glitching, leading to the game needing to be exited and restarted. This version, like earlier versions, tends to be very time-consuming when it comes to saving progress and exiting. Overall, though, the kids like it, and that was the idea in the first place.
