I picked this up as a black Friday sale and returned it the next day.
I wanted it for a out side TV I mainly watch football games on and wanted to be able to hear the announcers better. This was no louder than the stock TV's speakers but sounded was worse. I feel this would only be good for some one that has blown stock speakers. For the price of this not on sell you can do way better.

For me that a Tv,receiver,DirecTv,Xbox One, and Apple Tv.
You connect the remote to a computer with the supplied usb cable.
