my tv only has 2 hdmi ports one just recently gave out. was looking to buy another tv. but instead saw this and gave it a try. bought it on sale for 50, saved myself hundreds. only problem i have with this is sometimes when it powers on the image flickers. have to power it off and back on and the image stays. dont why it does that but thats the only downside to my product.

I'm trying to program my cable DVR to my Curtis Mathes tv and I need a universal remote because I don't have the remote that came with the tv.

Does this remote have a back light button to illuminate the buttons in the dark. Does any Harmony remote have this function?
the smart control does not have a back light. the harmony one/ultimate does and the back light turns on automatically when the remote is moved or picked up.
