Entertaining, but not among Jim Wynorski's best.

Jim Wynorski has made some really fun films (The Lost Empire, Chopping Mall, Dinosaur Island, Dinocroc vs Supergator, Piranhaconda, etc.) but Sharkansas Women's Prison Massacre lacked the goofy energy and trashy playfulness he's often brought to the screen. The technical quality of the Blu-ray was strong, though.

This is another great Steelbook of a Marvel Blu-ray release. Almost all of these Best Buy Marvel Steelbook exclusives sell out the day they're released (except Fantastic Four, of course), but I was lucky to get the last unit at a nearby Best Buy store four days after its release. Like the past ones, this features great artwork.

This re-lease from Shout Factory is most welcome, as I missed out on the original release from Rhino, which is long out-of-print and expensive from third-party sellers. Three top MST3K movies, plus a great collection of Shorts. If you own the Rhino version, there is no need to double-dip here, though.

I love Donnie Yen, and was excited to hear that Shout Factory had picked up this film for distribution in the US. It's not the best martial arts film, though - the bouncing back and forth between action and drama disrupts the rhythm quite a bit. But, the many fights are really well done and fun.
