Sixx A.M. has been a welcome addition to the rock & roll world. They work diligently and release a new record almost every year (which used to be the norm). This time they didn't quite live up to the quality of the previous albums, but I will admit that I need to listen to the songs more. Still very good on the first few turns.

Tom Petty returns with a new Mudcrutch album, and it is pretty dang good. Petty is one of the few current artists that can attempt different projects and make it great. The difference between Vinny Dombrowski (Sponge, CRUD, and The Orbitsuns) is that this could easily be mistaken as a Heartbreakers record...and that isn't a bad thing.

Black Stone Cherry has released another great album of rock songs. This is a young band that is much needed in the current landscape of music. The new album is not going to be my #1 album of 2016, but it is chock full of great tunes. Fans of this band will really enjoy the new album.

Let me put it this way, if you are a fan of Steel Panther...you will really enjoy this album. There are a few songs on here that I wasn't the biggest fan of on the original albums, but they hold up much better as scaled-down acoustic versions. I recommend this ONLY if you are a fan of the band.

The reason I bought this album at Best Buy was because of the limited edition shirt that came with the album. I've yet to wear the shirt, but it looks pretty cool (album cover is what is displayed on the front of the shirt, pretty basic). It is a breath of fresh air that Best Buy still offers these limited edition promotions. By the way, the album is great.
