Solid 4k Blu Ray player with Dolby Vision

Overall, a very good 4k Blu Ray player. It's hard as of summer 2018 to find a variety of players that include Dolby Vision, your options are limited. This LG present the best overall value of that group, in my opinion. That being said, there are some very disappointing aspects that take away from the overall quality some. The first is the poor remote control, it's very small, doesn't include a blacklight, and is just not easy to use. The second is the ancient OS that you have to go through, it's remarkably out of date but does function in the purest sense. Both of these things are just lazy, cost cutting measures that are disappointing. While the player overall is a solid value, LG needs to ante up for a better remote and an OS that was designed in the last decade.

Great finish to the Dark Knight trilogy!

Gotta love Christopher Nolan, he did an amazing job with the final Dark Knight film. It's sad to see it end, but it had to finish sometime and this was a very nice effort to close it out. I'd argue that this is the second best in the trilogy behind The Dark Knight. Pretty solid 4k Blu Ray overall as well too, maybe not quite reference quality but very good.

I wouldn't quite say it's Christopher Nolan's best work, but it's a pretty solid movie overall. I really love the IMAX shots in particular, they're a great Nolan trademark. Pretty happy with this movie.

This was a pretty decent movie, a bit odd and unusual but clearly that was the intention. I bought the film primarily hoping for a reference quality 4k Blu Ray, and admittedly am a little disappointed. It was a bit of a letdown unfortunately.

I wasn't a huge fan of the original Blade Runner, it just didn't quite do it for me. I wasn't expecting much out of this movie, but I love the director and the casting looked good. I was very pleasantly surprised, this was a fantastic movie overall. Additionally, the 4k Blu Ray looks stellar on my OLED. Highly recommend as both a great movie and reference quality Blu Ray disc.

Great sound in an all in one package

If you're contemplating some nice speakers for a reasonable price, you already know Klipsch. They make great quality products and these speakers are no different. I hooked them up to a Chromecast audio along with some other speakers and have a whole house sound system that sounds superior to many other popular options.
My complaint and the reason I deducted a star was that whenever the speakers go to sleep after not being used for a while, when they wake back up playing music through my Chromecast the volume always resets to a base level which is too low. So I have to manually adjust the sound using the included controller every time, kind of a bummer considering how great this system is otherwise.

Unbelievable picture, but concerns about burn in

I upgraded to this LG OLED from an older plasma that was still doing well. The OLED is a dramatic improvement when you give it a good source feed (720p at least, 1080p+ preferred). The 4k upscaling is good and native 4k is really fantastic. HDR is unreal, and it's truly what this TV does best. You're really missing out if you purchase this TV and don't watch good HDR material on it. Lastly, the most incredible thing about this TV is how perfect the blacks are. Watch this in a dark room and the right scenes will simply blow you away.
It's not a perfect TV though, there are a couple of concerns despite the amazing picture. The first, and lesser of the two is the motion handling. It's simply not as good as my old plasma. That's not to say it's bad, but it leaves just a bit to be desired. I've found a pretty good compromise with the settings and it wouldn't stop me from buying this again however. The Sony OLED has better motion handling, but it's much more expensive and not worth it simply for that.
The larger concern is with the possibility of burn in. I haven't seen or experienced any issues but it's very much a constant concern with OLED unfortunately. I wish it didn't have to be, because there are a lot of TV channels, video games, etc. today that use static images. I've made some adjustments to the TV such as keeping the OLED light setting low (>40) as this seems to be the biggest factor in developing burn in of static images. We'll see how it goes, hopefully this isn't a long term concern but it's unfortunately something you have to accept and stay conscious of when using an OLED, this is not for the family that leaves a TV on CNN all day in a bright room.

Better than Amazon Echo

I had the full size & mini Amazon Echo products for some time prior to getting a Google Home mini. The Echo was good, but in most regards the Google Home is simply better. The sound quality on this is better than the Echo mini, although not a replacement for good speakers come music time. Google seems to know a lot more and the added bonus of Chromecast & Google Play Music seals the deal for me. I've switched over the Google Home and have been happy.

Hey guys I have this player with the latest update so now it does support Dolby Vision. My question is when I put in the movie that has Dolby Vision encoding it automatically switches Dolby Vision which is great but then I can't switch it to HDR.
It's my understanding that you can't select between Dolby Vision & HDR10 on this player. There are some very expensive players that do that such as the OPPO, but I think you'll always be relegated to Dolby Vision by default if available, otherwise it'll use HDR10 if not - It's not something we can switch ourselves.
