The volume stays relatively low in order to not damage your child's ears. It still can get a tad loud but most likely not loud enough to do long term damage with prolonged use. Fuzzy and cushy so as not to hurt your childs ears, or adult if you so choose.

I did not expect this little fan to be so powerful. It can be/is a little loud and only has 2 settings but more than strong enough for a small office or bedroom. To strong and to loud for a work-space unless you like to be cold and have your volume loud.
