Long ago in Galilee, a plucky donkey named Bo (voiced by Steven Yeun) fled the mill where he was mercilessly worked, and was given shelter by an expectant mother named Mary (Gina Rodriguez). He'd be given the chance to repay her kindness, as he rallied his new barnyard friends to hide Mary from the determined pursuit of King Herod (Christopher Plummer). Charming animated spin on the Nativity also features the voices of Keegan-Michael Key, Aidy Bryant, Zachary Levi, Tracy Morgan, Tyler Perry, and Oprah Winfrey. 86 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Wonderful animated story about the donkey who ends up carrying Mary into Bethlehem. Even though it is told through the lives of an eclectic assortment of animals, it still stays true to the Christmas story.

I had never heard of this film and only purchased it because it sounded like it might be interesting with Morgan Freeman in the lead role. Nice surprise! Heart warming story of a man in mourning for his wife finding friendship in the family living next to his rental cabin. Not heavy, just moving.
Blu-ray + Digital. While serving detention, four teens discover a 16-bit video game called Jumanji in their school's basement. Transported inside the game's jungle world, the kids are each assigned an avatar-a muscle-bound explorer (Dwayne Johnson), a pudgy cartographer (Jack Black), a diminutive zoologist (Kevin Hart), and a beautiful martial artist (Karen Gillan)-and must survive a series of dangerous adventures in order to get back to the real world. Exciting follow-up to the 1995 hit also stars Nick Jonas, Bobby Cannavale. 119 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Great follow-up to the Robin Williams movie! Super job by the Rock; casting Jack Black as the avatar for a teenage girl was genius. Lots of action and humor.

Have to admit that it took a little while for me to get into this movie because of the mental health problems of the lead character; however, once I did, it proved a thought provoking and moving story. Jennifer Lawrence definitely deserves her Oscar!

Great movie; however, you really need to see "Hunger Games" first, in order to fully understand what is taking place and why. The opening sequence, dealing with Katniss Everdeen's PTSD, is exceptional. Hard to fathom how a twenty-year-old Jennifer Lawrence could understand those feelings so well.

This may be the best of the Hunger Games score/soundtrack albums. All instrumental except Jennifer Lawrence's touching lullaby. Sometimes powerful; sometimes melancholy; wonderful throughout.

Didn't care about any of the main characters; they are all lowlifes that are better forgotten. Should have known it was going to be bad when the first reason given for the R rating was "perverse language throughout". Apparently the screen writers had a very limited vocabulary and had to flesh out the script by using all of the profanity they knew. Disappointed in myself that I didn't turn it off before the end.

Jimmy Stewart co-stars in one of John Wayne's best movies. In this non-traditional western, Stewart is a lawyer from "back East", who thinks that he can rid the town of it's murderous gunslinger, Liberty Valance (Lee Marvin), using his law books. Wayne thinks otherwise. As the song says, "The man who shot Liberty Valance was the bravest of them all."
