It is a nice protective case for the surface - fits really well and it is easy to use. I have not dropped the surface yet to find out if it works - we will leave that for later - if it happens we will find out!
A couple of things I do not like that could be improved:
1) The power connector can be connected only in one direction, cable facing downwards - do not know how this will affect connecting the microsoft hub
2) the back of the case seals the heat in - should have some holes to allow heat to escape for cooling purposes. It is a tight and good fit but ...

I guess we have been using this for a few weeks and it seems like a very good device. The wife likes it and that is all that matters.
It has some nice energy features.
Wish the diagnostics were such that I could see on my phone or the screen instead of having to call the manufacturer.
The verdict for long term performance is still out especially with all the electronics and this is the reason for not giving 5 points.
Would be very happy if it lasts at least half the time the one it replace - it lasted us 20 years! Had to buy the extra warranty just to be on the safe side.
