No Man's Sky is interesting. It's interesting mainly because it doesn't provide everything the devs claimed it would. The variation in planets is big, but the life on them really are not. There's a lot of reused assets.
I've only played about 8 hours of the game. I personally like it, but just have not had a whole lot of time to sit and play it.
I feel it's worth a shot, but maybe not for a full priced game.
