Despite Best Buy's advertising this as an adapter that "converts DVI-I video signals into VGA analog," the adapter has significantly fewer contacts than a DVI-I plug. It’s a DVI-A (analog only) adapter, NOT a DVI-I adapter, so there’s signal loss when used where DVI-I is called for. I was anxious to use my new computer (with my old flat-screen VGA monitor) and no one had an -I converter in stock so I ordered from the quickest supplier--only to be told the next day by BestBuy that the order was delayed. Then it wasn't even what was advertised and had to be returned! So after additional delay I ended up ordering the right adapter online from Newegg, and from Newegg the correct part arrived sooner than promised.

Excellent protection

I bought this for my wife for Christmas after she'd shattered her iPhone screen and had it replaced a few weeks prior. So far, this appears to offer excellent protection (I haven't tested it by dropping the phone from a high-rise building, of course). The price when on sale was reasonable, and my wife is actually using it (I thought it might be too bulky for her).

This very useful adapter is handy for using older products with newer iPhones. We use it mostly to modify a docking station for a clock/alarm/music player, but it will also adapt an older, 30-pin cable for use with lightning-port products (such as for charging an iPhone). A bit pricey, though.
