My boy is obsessed with items that spin be it fans, washing machines or anything really. I showed him this spinner and told him he could have a fan wherever he goes and it’s one of his favorite toys. His hands aren’t big enough to hold and spin it but he enjoys it on the floor and table as well.

The $50 increment isn’t enough to buy a full price title but that shouldn’t stop you from using it on some indie games. These psn cards make the perfect stocking stuffer!

The Odyssey coin seems like a useless trinket to those that don’t appreciate things like this but it will be loved by collectors. Mine sits on the shelf right by my Odyssey Amiibos.

The first true 3D Mario that has redefined itself since the Galaxy series was released. Mario is the king and he’s back with a game that is sure to be held in the hearts of gamers all over. It’s hard to play and not smile at the same time, unless you’re subjecting yourself to the game’s tougher challenges which will undoubtedly make you question your gluttony for punishment. Kids will love the bright colors and whimsical setting while older gamers will be attracted to that special blend of heart and soul only Nintendo games are known for. If you are a part of the surging population of people buying a Switch then you owe it to yourself to own this game. There is no question Mario Odyssey belongs in every Switch owner’s library and will likely be the bar for all 3D Mario games to meet going forward.

If you played Shadow of Mordor then you know what to expect. This game picks up immediately where that game left off and continues the story between Talion and Calibrimbor. The world is bigger, the nemesis system is more robust and the gameplay hits all the right albeit familiar notes. While not deal breaking for me some people might feel otherwise my issues. The rune system is gone and we’re left with a gem system that isn’t as varied. The graphics while still looking extremely good aren’t as detailed as Mordor. The cutscenes also suffer degradation of quality over the previous game which is surprising since everything else is done so well. Fatal strikes and death blows in your enemies have been toned down and aren’t nearly as visceral as the previous game.
Despite it’s shortcomings, Shadow of War is worth owning if you are a fan of the original.

Most people will remember Chloe from her appearance in Uncharted 2. She was a great addition to the game and was sorely missed in 3 and 4. Enter Lost Legacy where the game focuses solely on her story along with her unlikely partner Nadine from Uncharted 4. In Lost Legacy we gain insight on Chloe's relationship with her late father and how she handles her career as a treasure hunter. She's every bit as witty as Nathan and proves she can hold her own against an onslaught of enemy forces. With Nadine at her side it seems like there's nothing this unlikely duo can't accomplish as long as they work together. Uncharted 4 was the perfect send off for Nathan Drake and people that didn't want the Uncharted experience to end will certainly find comfort in the Lost Legacy. If you're a fan of Uncharted then you'll have expectations for how the game looks and plays. Lost Legacy doesn't disappoint and manages to carve a spot out for itself as a successful addition to the series.

I'll preface this by admitting I do not like multiplayer online games that revolve around pvp like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Counterstrike etc where the sole purpose is to run around and kill your opponents over and over again. I bought Splatoon 2 on a whim since my Switch has been collecting dust after finishing Breath of the Wild. To my surprise I have been having an absolute blast with it. The 4 player Salmon Run mode is online co op against waves of monsters. The modes don't last very long either which is good if you are on the go and want to get a quick game in. The game does offer a single player campaign mode that offers its own set of challenges and rewarding gameplay. The only downside I would say this game has doesn't lie with the game itself but rather Nintendo's backwards view on online gameplay. It's difficult to play with friends and their idea of online chat is cumbersome forcing you to rely on your smartphone. Most people won't have issues with this but I did. It's not a reason to not recommend the game as I feel a lot of Switch owners would find it difficult to not enjoy this game in some fashion. Highly recommend it!
Dive into the seedy underground of organized crime in Sega's Yakuza 0 standard edition for the PlayStation 4. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of this game. I wanted a fleshed out story and what I got was an action rpg, side quests, levels, mini games and more. This is a solid foundation for people to experience the Yakuza series for the first time. The fighting is extremely satisfying as are the old school arcade games. One minute you're conducting traditional business synonymous with Japanese culture and the next you're customizing the hostesses of your Cabaret Club to attract new customers. For the patient gamer that doesn't mind reading subtitles this is the breath of fresh air you've been waiting for.
