Excellent alternative to renting

We purchased this modem when our original Time Warner modem died and we decided that we didn't want to rent one anymore. This modem is extremely easy to set up through Time Warner and seems to be a little faster than the one that came from the cable company. $99 is a little high as the modem sells for around $79 in the store. Use the money that you save to GET A GEEK SQUAD WARRANTY for replacement within two years. It is absolutely essential that you get this warranty because it ensures that you get a new modem immediately if it should break, and it probably will because none of them seem to last more than a few years. I own a lot of electronic devices and this is the only one that I have ever purchased an extended warranty for.

Normally I would not rate a product so poorly but when my OOMA failed to work after a little over a year, OOMA said that they were sorry but the warranty had expired. How do you save money on a product that fails after a little over a year. And not to mention the fact that not having a home phone is a huge annoyance. I must admit that while I had the service it was pretty good but had i known that their devices were such garbage I would have never switched to them. You might buy an OOMA box and have it last for a very long time, or it may break after a year like mine. I paid $200 for the box and $50 to port my number, a complete waste of money.
What's great about it: Service was good whule it lasted
What's not so great: Horrible product life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Listen to soothing nature sounds when you wake up to this Sony ICFC1PJ clock radio that features dual alarms for multiple wake times. The swivel projector allows you to display the time on a wall or ceiling for easy viewing during the night.

First off, this is by far the best alarm clock that I have ever owned, while it worked. However, that being said it broke after about 9 months of use and I can only hope that Sony will fix it or replace it with a unit that lasts. My first sony clock radio worked reliably for 20 years. If it were not for the failure of the unit this would be a five-star review.

HOW DOES THIS MODEM PERFORM WHEN THERE IS MORE THAN ONE PERSON USING?
HOW DOES THIS MODEM PERFORM WHEN THERE IS MORE THAN ONE PERSON USING? ALSO, HOW IS THE SERVICE WHEN STREAMING VIDOES AND GAMING? MY CARRIER WILL BE COMCAST. ALSO, DO I NEED A ROUTER? SORRY I AM NEW TO CABLE INTERNET. IM USED TO BROADBAND INTERNET.
We are able to stream to at least two tv's and use the internet at the same time. The most important things to consider are the speed of your service from Comcast and the ability of your router. In order to run more than one device from the modem you must have a router. If you are going to have a lot of people using the internet at the same time do not skimp on the quality of the router. We only have internet tv as we have given up on cable so we rely heavily on this modem and have never had a problem. That said, if you do purchase this modem make sure to get the extended warranty. I believe that it's only $10 and will be worth its weight in gold should the modem start acting up.
