Definitely a step up

I owned the PS Gold headset and while I liked it alright, it just seemed like there was a lot missing. The headset wasn't very comfortable and if you engaged the virtual surround sound it's like it completely removed all bass frequencies. It wasn't particularly tinny but it just felt and sounded so off. The A50s are completely different. Are they worth $300? Maybe... The comfort level is great and I hear it's even better with the mod package they offer. The sound is quite wonderful. You can hear the bass well in stereo and surround modes and feel it just like I like to. It's not empty at all. The clarity is great while still having a full sound. I have had some issues with sound cutting out but it's pretty rare. If you read the first time use/set up instructions it says to charge the headphones fully before first use. Makes sense but it was quite a pain. I guess these came from the factory with no charge so you're basically stuck waiting at least 4 hours for them to charge. The volume is good for the most part. I don't have it maxed most of the time but sometimes I do just because the sound is great. It would just be nice to have a bit more room for more intense parts. Basically, these are great but I'm still not sure if they're $300 great. If not, I'd at least say they're not too far off. I haven't messed with the software but I think I will soon to see what they're like with personal sound settings. I imagine they would only get better

My first Keurig

I've wanted a Keurig for a while but never took the plunge. Usually I want just one cup, maybe two, of coffee so it can be a bit of a hassle to get everything going with a traditional set up and even wasteful. As quick as this will brew up a cup it just makes sense to do it this way. If you decide you want more, then just brew another! If you're done, there's nothing to dump out and waste. This has pretty much every conceivable brewing configuration in regards to size, strength, and even tea/cocoa so it's definitely good if you're in search of the perfect cup. It's a lot harder to do that with a traditional set up. At least this way you can do it one at a time and save the setting for consistent results. I don't know how long this will be on sale but $120 for this is a steal!

Really impressed!

I bought this because the speakers on my new Vizio TV stunk and the price was quite nice. I didn't really pay attention to the SmartCast feature but it turns out it's pretty convenient and I'm actually using it. The center channel/speaker makes a HUGE difference in movies and anything else. The clarity of dialog is such a welcome addition and I'm glad it has its own dedicated level. The overall sound quality is great and there's more tonal range than you might expect. The sub is really impressive - I've had others the same size that left a lot to be desired but if you dial this in to suit what you're listening to, oh man, it's great. I do wish there were more presets beyond movie/music and I wish Night mode made more of a difference because having to tweak things and turn off the sub depending on the situation gets a little old. One last thing... This thing can get LOUD. I live in an apartment so I can't crank it as much as I'd like to sometimes but with what I have done the sound is great. With everything dialed in I can get an awesome, full, punchy sound or something crystal clear depending on the source. I'm VERY happy with my choice and I'm actually kinda thankful my TV had such terrible speakers!

What a movie!

I regret not seeing this one in theaters! This is officially on my favorites list and not just for X-Men/superhero/whatever movies. The story was great and depressing and if Hugh Jackman really is done with the role it is quite a send off. The quality of the UHD HDR is wonderful. I had watched an HD version a week or two before and thought that was great but there's just no comparison. Even though this one can hurt to watch (emotionally only) the images are just too gorgeous to leave it to only occasional watching.

The UI can be a little clunky and not very straight forward in terms of organizing apps but that's not a big deal. All in all I'm happy with the performance and quality. I've always had good luck with Samsung products and that's no different with this. Some people have complained about the remote but I've had no problems with it at all. This one seems to keep getting less expensive so the value just keeps improving. I'd be hard pressed to find a reason to buy any other 4K HDR player.

Overall a very good choice

Most things about this TV are perfect. I'm impressed by the picture - the quality, the black levels, the colors in HDR and even without... I really only have 2 complaints - the tablet and the speakers. I like the idea of a tablet as the main remote a lot and the execution is usually decent but it's not without its issues. It sometimes loses connectivity to the TV and will show as off even though it's on. The only way I've found to resolve it is to turn it off with the other remote, then turn it back on with the tablet. Sometimes casting can be a pain too. Since the tablet isn't very big it's sometimes difficult to be precise when trying to select something to cast. All in all, it's not enough to make me want to take it back, not even close, but I am considering invested in a larger tablet in hopes that it will be easier to use when casting, though I don't expect it to help with connectivity at all. The speakers are pretty terrible. You can't really expect all the much anymore since TVs are so thin; it really limits the speaker size. That being said, I've certainly had better sounding speakers in smaller, thinner, and cheaper TVs. I bought a sound bar a day later so that isn't an issue anymore, prepare yourself for that though because you'll probably want one too...

There was a different tone for this movie with Abrams handing over the reins and the writers involved but it was a cool change of pace. The UHD version is great but that's to be expected. I haven't watched a standard Blu ray version so I can't compare but I'm expecting the gap to widen more and more over time.

While I do enjoy the upgrades and appreciate the fact that 4k is now supported I'm still pretty underwhelmed. Maybe my expectations were too high? I still can't believe Sony didn't put a UHD player in this. Even though I don't see myself getting another Xbox, at least Microsoft added one and at a lower price point! I'm still happy with my purchase but Sony oughta wake up because MS is definitely on course to surpass them BIG TIME. I can't believe how out of touch they are! I wouldn't recommend getting this unless you just really want 4k support, which I did. There isn't really much else about it to necessitate an upgrade.

I think this one will always be one of my favorite movies. The UHD version has more noticeable differences than the first Star Trek's UHD version. The scene at the beginning with the primitive culture is a great example of the improvement. The scene looked fantastic on the standard Blu ray but in UHD with HDR it just looks breathtaking. Definitely happy with my purchase.
