This router was not strong enough to handle our needs, so I returned this router and upgraded to the NETGEAR R7000 Nighthawk Dual Band Wireless AC Router which can now handle our needs. At any given time we have 4 smartphones, 4 laptops, 1 desktop computer, 1 printer, 1 smart TV, 1 ROKU, 1 PS3 all wirelessly connected. One laptop is used for heavy online gaming and there are 2-3 movies being streamed wirelessly at any given time and the Nighthawk can handle it. The AC R6250 was still having some lag and dropping issues that seemed to end once we upgraded to the Nighthawk. I think the R6250 would be fine for most users, but with 3 teenagers in the house, we needed the extra power.

This is the cord that was recommended by the salesman. I wish it was a little more flexible, but I am not sure if that is even possible. The cord has more tight bends in it that I would like, however, once it was properly installed and sealed, it seems to work fine. The first delivery man did not seal the vent and half the air was escaping behind the dryer; you could actually stand in front of the dryer and it felt like a wind storm because so much air was escaping. The second delivery man reinstalled and sealed with vent tape and then it worked just fine (the first delivery man skipped the vent tape altogether and left a large gap in the vent where it connected to the pipe in the floor).

This was the cord recommended by the salesman. It seems to be just fine, however, make sure that it is installed properly. The first delivery man did not secure to the machine well and the wires were exposed and the cord was hanging halfway out, so it needed to be corrected by another delivery man.

I bought this matching dryer to go along with the washer. It is not one of the top rated dryers by Consumer Reports (but the HE top loading washer is rated #1). I am not overly impressed with this dryer, but it works well enough. The dry sensor doesn't work very well; the waistbands in jeans or thick spots in sweaters are always still damp at the end of a cycle so I find I must always add an additional 20 minutes at medium temperature to finish the job. My last dryer did not have a sensor, so I am used to having to gauge the length of time. The steam feature is a complete waste of $$. If I add steam to a cycle, the clothes will be dry but have random wet spots all over the clothing like they were just splashed with water. Do not use the steam cycle to fluff up dry clothes before wearing either; they will come out too damp to wear. Only once did I find the steam cycle helpful--when I had dried jeans on the clothesline I used the steam cycle to fluff up and it did get rid of the wrinkles and soften the jeans, but that is not a need that I will ever have again (I only air dried the jeans because my old dryer died and I was waiting for this one to be delivered!) If the steam feature was useful, I would give this dryer 5 stars. If I had to do again, I would skip the steam and save the extra $$.

I selected a high efficiency top loader because I had heard from several friends that they didn't like their front loader for various reasons: didn't wash well, musty odor and had to keep the door open, too hard to load and unload because low to the ground, etc. This high efficiency top loader is rated #1 by Consumer Reports, however, the matching dryer (which I bought along with this washer) is not a recommended dryer (but I think is fine except for the steam cycle). The washer works well enough, however, I find that some things are hard to clean such as deodorant does not always come off clothing unless the 2 hour heavy soil cotton setting is selected. The steam feature does nothing more than extend a wash cycle to 3 hours or more with absolutely no benefit in cleaning, so save the extra $$ and skip the steam! I am wondering if I wouldn't have been better off getting another Kenmore with a center agitator, but this washer does work well enough for my needs. I have had the washer now for nearly 2 months and I average 8 loads a week, so I have learned which settings to use and which to ignore. I primarily use the heavy soil, cotton, and towel settings, and wool setting for delicates (but change the water temp to cold). I really would have preferred to skip all the presets and just had the option of water temp, soil level, and length of cycle--the presets are really a waste. I will say that I have never had a balance or wobbling issue. I do not have any experience with high efficiency washers, but since this was rated #1 by Consumer Reports and many customers like it, my guess is it must be better than some others out there. It really does wash well as long as you select a heavy soil setting which extends the cycle time from 1 hour to 2 hours.

How do I know which router to choose that would work with Verizon fios 50mbs.
I have the netgear nighthawk with the 50 Mbps service and get speeds up to 100mbps no problem. My son is an online gamer and I stream Netflix all at the same time with no issues.

Does anyone know why i cant get some web pages to load with this router?
I set up the guest network and they worked on that for about a week now they do not work on that either. My sony bluray wont connect to it either and its only 2 months old. i tried netgear customer service but they say the router wont block pages and they had no ideas and hung up on me. BTW i will never buy another netgear product because of that. I've tried googling it and changing a couple boxes but nothing works. Just wondering if anyone has ideas before i take it back and if anyone has a recommendation of a good router. also the range is not as good as the box says. Thanks
A router cannot block web pages. You probably have some kind of security software set to block certain sites (like parental controls so no sites with adult content or violence, etc. . I did have that router but upgraded to nighthawk. No issues and we stream a lot (son is an online gamer and I am Netflix junkie.)

What size dryer do I need to handle a full load from a 5.2 cu ft washer?
I bought a 5.2 cu ft washer and my dryer cannot handle a full load. I'm having to dry a half a load at a time. What size dryer do I need for this size washer?
I bought the 7.3 CU FT dryer and it fits a full load from a 5.2 CU FT washer just fine.
